Review summary
Overall the embark & debark processes as well as moving people on & off for ports-of-call went very smoothly. The food was average, nothing exciting. The ship was clean, the staff respectful, the comedians were excellent, the bed was comfortable. Had to ask for a refrigerator or wouldn't have had one, no ice/pitcher provided in the room, no mints at night, extremely loud overall in all public rooms. The bands were good but were positioned in a crowded corner in Boleros or on the noisy crowded promenade. Those of us who love to dance only had the small, round, marble-hard, crowded, noisy little dance floor. They had a great wooden dance floor in the Imperial Lounge but chose not to use it except for one band concert with music unsuitable for dancing. On the one night a good band was scheduled for that lounge, it was cancelled without notice and a private event was held. If we'd wanted to enter, it would have cost an additional $150 per person. Disappointed & aggravated.
Beverages in the Buffet were pretty much limited to water, lemonade, tea, coffee (juice at breakfast). Drinks and Internet were very expensive. Wish they would include gratuities in the original cruise cost. Several of us felt this was more like a Carnival Cruise than other previous Royal Caribbeans cruises. There was a sense of 'pay more, get less'.

Ship tip
This was an extremely loud, noisy ship. Maybe it was just this particular group of passengers, but it was a relief to get in an elevator for a few moments of quiet! Perhaps they need to add some type of sound abatement?
