Review summary

Cruise had great itinerary of islands which was what attracted us. Loved the balcony cabin with plenty storage space and balcony with actual privacy wall, unlike other ships. Entertainment was first class (first we've had good entertainment on any cruise line worth talking about). I was very disappointed with Spa area, very plain. Unlike other cruise lines with 'sanctuaries" to truly escape and relax, this had none hence I skipped spa alltogether. Had nice pool and bars yet we missed not having a bar on rear of deck "al fresco" as many other ships do.

Our first night in San Juan while dining in the ship, we asked for a bottle of wine and were horrified by the not only the service charge (tip) but an outrageous tax of 22% given in San Juan port. I was furious as the waiter should have warned prior to ordering. They refunded the tax which made us happy.

Large, comfortable, plenty storage space and a large balcony with actual privacy wall. Good TV programming, including CNN International. The bed was way too hard and they discontinued adding bed toppers due to health dept ban. However the attendant built padding with bed comforters and it made it better.

Ship tip

Huge whirpool in gym area is less crowded than pool whirpools and nice. Use caution booking any interior cabin with window facing the promenade as they do loud parties in promenade that won't let you sleep.
