Review summary

The Adventure of the Seas is an incredible ship. The royal promanade was the most impressive part of the experience. Having never been on a cruise before I was overwhelmed when I boarded. The mix of shops, and bars was perfect. There truely was something on this ship for everyone.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Dining times were good, the food at the Windjammer though was getting a little bland towards the end of the cruise, but mabye I was just getting used to it.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
The Broadway shows should not be missed. Outstanding!!!

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
All of the staff went above and beyond to ensure that not only was your experience pleasant, but that they knew your name by the end of the cruise. The only comment that I have that is a little negative, is that the staffat Seattle's Best Coffee, need more training on how to make a good Latte or Mocha. After 5 days at sea, I thought they would have had it down by then, but after ordering a Mocha, I got a Latte with whipped cream instead. Not a good one thruought the entire cruise.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Very clean, the staff prides themselves on ensuring a clean ship.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Stateroom was perfect size for two people. The balcony was a feature that I don't think I could go without now that I have had one on a cruise.

Ports of call

Willemstad, Curacao

Nice island, very european looking, but I don't need to go back.

Oranjestad, Aruba

I felt that the Jeep excursion was not worth it. We were entertained, driving, but the stops were not real interesting. It would have been nice to been shown places to go so when the tour was done we could re-visit those sites on our own.

Philipsburg, St. Maarten

5 out of 5
The jungle canopy tour was the most fun I have had in a long time. Not to be missed. The bestfood we ate on the entire cruise was at the resturant right across from the first water taxi stop. Can't remember the name. this is the port that you want the ship to leave later from. Awsome!!!
Don't Miss: Jungle canopy tour!!!!

Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas

Very Americanized, and not real impressed. Went to turtle Cove snorkeling. Not much to see unless you like turtles. I was expecting a lot more fish, coral and other marine life. But we did get to see the Green Sea Turtle.

Pros: Variety of excursions and the boat ammenities.

Cons: The check in process boarding was a mess. Nobody seemed to know what line you should be in, and there was not enough staff outside the boat to handle the volume of questions.
