Review summary

We absolutly love the Adventure of the Seas! This was our 2nd time sailing on it and we have invited several of our family members and friends, and they too have sailed more than once on it! It has everything to offer from solitude to party life. This time we brought our childres (ages 8, 10, and 12) and they had a blast! I felt very comfortable having them go as a trio on their own and enjoy all the ship has to offer from the basketball court, ice skating, rock climbing, age appropriate groups, etc.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

I love getting dressed for dinner and being pampered a the dining table! The lobster was the best! The shows our waiters put on were very entertaining!

Children's Programs

My children love the kids groups...they get an itinerary just like the adults and pick which activities they want to participate in. They too, love getting dressed and going to the dining room for dinner. They eat directly and off to their adventure on the Adventure!

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
The client /staff ratio is 2-3/1...you can't beat it! Everyone is extremely helpful and pleasant. They will do everything to get you what you desire!

Cabin / Stateroom

If you 've never been on a cruise before, please do not be disappointed by the size of the rooms...they need to be small to reserve space for your activities. I recommend a balcony room so you have more space and you can relax in complete privacy on your own veranda!

Ports of call

Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas

Magans Bay! Shopping. Go into the town for local shopping. Snorkel the "underwater tour" on St John.
Don't Miss: Go to "Mountain Top" for pictures of Magan's Bay.

Philipsburg, St. Maarten

Orient Beach baby! Shopping! I love their street walking shops. Get $1 beers while shopping the town. Lees barbeque accross from Royal Palm hotel has the best grills fish!
Don't Miss: Orient beach is stunning! (clothing optional though)

Willemstad, Curacao

The houses are painted in all colors...there is a story behind it, ask one of the locals. We saw parrots!
Don't Miss: Going accross the bridge to get pictures of the colorful town with the ocean in the background.

Oranjestad, Aruba

We snorkeled with all of our family, saw a shipwreck, and had lunch on the beach...best ribs ever!

Pros: The days at sea with pool side games or relaxing at the 'quiet pool'. The ship is gorgeous and huge! You can get any atmosphere you want out of it!

Cons: it was only 7 days.
