Better by land by JudyF3

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Sapphire Princess / Destination: South Pacific - Australia

The ship itself was beautiful. We had a small inside cabin on Plaza level. The Cruise director was pretty useless and there was a lack of information about the ports. We also had very rough seas on the Tasman and several days of rain including the Fiords. We took some very good independent shore excursions and did Christchurch and Melbourne on our own. We were 8 hours late getting to Hobart so we just went to Bonorong which we enjoyed. Sydney was our favorite and we spent 3 extra days there. This is an itinerary better done on land though.

a unique experience by MaryA31

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Paul Gauguin (RETIRED) / Destination: South Pacific - Tahiti

We have cruised several times in the past seven years and had heard good things about the PG. We enjoyed the cabin; it reflected that we were on a ship, rather than a floating hotel. It was small, but very efficient. The lounge was nice, but no handrail on the steps made it difficult for some of the elderly passengers. Food and service were excellent. The decor was understated and pleasant. The entertainment was average. The lecturerers were very interesting and clearly educated about the area of the ship's itinerary. We enjoyed the experience, but felt that with the travel costs, it was a rather expensive cruise for what we were able to see and do. The islands have limited experiences- sightseeing is basically IT. I was disappointed in that this wasn't the luxury ship and clientele that I had been told to expect. We missed a quiet area in which to read during the day. The small ship doesn't have the space. The casino was little used and might have been replaced by a small quiet lounge for cards and reading.

One of the best cruises i've been on by JohnR32

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Tahitian Princess / Destination: South Pacific - Tahiti

The ship was smaller than what we useualy cruise on but to us it was perfect. we met so many people on this cruise and we still chat today. The balcony room we had was great along with all the people that worked on the ship.

Cruise Line Exp by LamarR56303658

Sail date: /
Ship: Pride of America / Destination: South Pacific

After reading all the reviews, I changed my mind about this cruise. I have been on 6 cruises in the past, and only one NCL. I thought that the NCL cruise I was on was bad because the ship was old. I see they must have transfered them to the new one. I think I'll stay with Carnival, or Radission.

Beautifull all over by ZizetteD

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Tahitian Princess / Destination: South Pacific - Tahiti

The tahitian princess is a small vesel that laks nothing, you can relax, party, eat and make friends. the service is great and the admosphere too. the only two things i would change is to the food from 2 pm to 6 pm not to be the same every day for 12 days, and xmas island, everything else was great.

A Restful Cruise by Virgini41392804

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Norwegian Star / Destination: South Pacific

My husband and I recently sailed in the Mexican Riviera on the Norwegian Star and found the staff SO accommodating and friendly! The room stewards were always smiling and our table stewards in the Versaille were so outstanding that we reserved seats at their table nightly! There wasn't a request that was not fulfilled on this cruise! The ship was very clean and well maintained. Our only regret is that we cannot have the same staff on any further cruises! It was a very relaxing cruise and the Freestyle Dining was a definite plus!

Q.M.2 maiden around the world cruise - by LorrainePerkins

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Queen Mary 2 / Destination: South Pacific - Australia

From San Francisco to Sydney Australia portion.  Fantastic.

Have been on many other cruises but can't remember enough to be pinned down on lines and dates.  One cruise to Alaska.  At least four in the Caribbean - Western and Eastern.  Three or four from California to Mexico.  Have cruised on the Cunard, Royal Caribbean, Carnival, Holland America, Celebrity and one other that has since disappeared.  Never cruised in Europe.  I particularly like the Royal Caribbean line.

Trip of a Lifetime by psythe16

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Royal Princess

This was a trip of a lifetime. Most everything was amazing. Fitness center could use more recombitant bikes and less treadmills, more roo for free wweights. Our stateroom had a funky smell on some days, not sure why. More game type activities and less trivia.

Great Getaway for a month by colemanjd

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Crown Princess

We are mid 70's, retired and like being pampered. This cruise was pefect for us. I would do another long cruise with Princess again with lots of sea days. Princess delivered on all I expected. The Crown Princess ship and crew were well trained and talented in delivering all the services I expected. On the last afternoon I enjoyed the comedy routine between Executive Chef Roy Cipriano and Director of Restaurant Oerations Mariusz Czemarmazowicz. It was perhaps the best comedy routine as it was so real. Princess may not be for everyone but this service was perfect for us.

Great Experience - Wonderful 31 Day Itenerary by DTBerry

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Crown Princess

The 31 days on the Crown Princess will be a wonderful lifelong memory. The visits to Hawaii, Tahiti, 6 stops in New Zealand and Sydney were amazing. Truthfully, I wasn’t sure we would want to be on a ship for a month but were very disappointed to leave the Crown in Sydney. We were very envious of our fellow travelers who were continuing their journey around Australia.

Excellent Trans-Pacific Cruise by joel43280083

39 days on board, with 18 days at sea seemed long, but it was absolutely great. Would do it again.

Love the trip. The worst part is knowing we won't get a great deal again like we did with this one.

Fantastic Ship, but felt like a nursing home by JayneK70

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Queen Elizabeth

We chose CUNARD for the ballroom dancing, we're 53 and 62 and were some of the youngest passengers. There were about 10 people our age or younger (of 2000). I couldn't get over how old the passengers were and how the entertainment was all stuck in a time warp - really very dull compared to other cruise lines we've been on. By 10pm everyone had gone to bed. If you're looking for a fun nightlife, this isn't for you.

Good Cruise by Zoomie78

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Koningsdam

Overall fun good cruise. Holland has gone way down in food. Its little things, cheap, fatty beef, no cheese served for pasta dishes, no extra sauce offered with sauce dishes. Endless up sales. Beverage are pricy. Internet was good.

Bad!! Choose another cruise line. by StevoDevo

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Quantum of the Seas

Dreadful experience from start to finish. Complaints after the cruise got only words (meaning less) and some future cruise vouchers for RC only. Can’t even use them on Sliversea or Celebrity (RC company as well). Such a disgraceful company with utter contempt for its guests.
