The 31 days on the Crown Princess will be a wonderful lifelong memory. The visits to Hawaii, Tahiti, 6 stops in New Zealand and Sydney were amazing.
Truthfully, I wasn’t sure we would want to be on a ship for a month but were very disappointed to leave the Crown in Sydney. We were very envious of our fellow travelers who were continuing their journey around Australia.
Embarkation

Very smooth and fast in SF. We had our medallions and we sailed through the lines
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
Excellent food; lots of dining options. We are big fans of the main dining room and the International Cafe. The buffets were great too. Love the pizza too.
Our only complaint was some lack of variety over the 31 days - tough to do with only so many menus.
We were also disappointed with some lack of fruit - primarily due to “hoarding” by some passengers. We missed a few items (like grapes and strawberries) but the selection was good and well prepared.
Onboard Activities
5 out of 5
We did some shows and many trivia contests and game shows. Good music and other fun stuff.
Entertainment
4 out of 5
Music was good; stage shows were not our cup of tea but we saw 4. We really enjoyed the performer who played many instruments.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
We had a great steward (Jo Jo) and great experiences with waiters, baristas, servers and other staff we encountered over the month we were there.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
We really like the layout of the ship. Easy to navigate and in good repair. Things looked clean and well maintained. We saw lots of ongoing painting, varnishing, etc.
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
The mini suite we had was very comfortable and clean. The bed was comfortable and all was well maintained.
Ship tip
Know that it’s not the newest or biggest ship in the fleet but classic and comfortable. The captain, crew and staff are first rate.
A big city and not our favorite but all went well. Our excursion took us out of the city - across the bay. Nice to see the rest of the area outside the major city feel.
Arrival in AUS was challenging due in part to our early in the season arrival; Princess staff seemed to handle the delays well but need more waiting rooms.
