Review summary

My husband and I recently sailed in the Mexican Riviera on the Norwegian Star and found the staff SO accommodating and friendly! The room stewards were always smiling and our table stewards in the Versaille were so outstanding that we reserved seats at their table nightly! There wasn't a request that was not fulfilled on this cruise! The ship was very clean and well maintained. Our only regret is that we cannot have the same staff on any further cruises! It was a very relaxing cruise and the Freestyle Dining was a definite plus!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Best table stewards and the food was "to die for"!

Entertainment

5 out of 5
The shows were professional quality and so varied. Of all our 10 cruises, this ship had the best entertainment all around. Also, the lectures were very good.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Wish we could have the same stewards on all our future cruises.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
For such a large ship, it was easily navigated (sorry for the pun!)

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
The shower area was larger than expected, but we would have loved to have had a couch in our stateroom rather than two chairs.

Pros: Two things actually: First, the Freestyle dining, and secondly, the top entertainment shows.

Cons: Noticed that the crew was expected to carry a passenger in a wheelchair down the steps and help him into the tender. This is hard on backs, and believe that these passengers have unrealestic expectations of the cruise industry. It is wonderful to get out, but perhaps they should stick to land.
