South America Cruise Reviews

This cruise was from Buenos Aires to Santiago with a post tour to Machu Pichu. The cruise itself was great but the post tour was the best tour we’ve experienced in large part due to the preparation, knowledge and experience of the guides.

A good ship with no problems and good variety of entertainment. Excellent cruise director (Matt’o) and his team. Only small criticism is restaurant food could have been better. Itinery was good but weather from Falklands round to Chile was misty making for poor visibility.

Very disappointing treatment of someone sustaining a serious injury on the ship due to their negligence. Poor medical treatment. Poor follow up from Guest relations until I conveyed my concerns to them that I felt dismissed. My holiday was ruined for myself and my partner and ship's response was more 'out of sight, out of mind'. The ship is beautiful, restaurants are good. Packages are worthwhile. General treatment of anyone injured in my experience disgusting, of course this has negatively influenced my entire experience which for me was very sad. I now look forward to surgery to repair my hand having returned home. Shame on Celebrity also for not advising passengers when they have a concierge class cabin in the corridor under the cafe that there is noise and obstructed views from the balcony.

It was super! Rio de Janeiro : we did have a walking tour in The Favela's and a walking tour behind the scenes of carnival!

This is not a cruise I would do again. We had a lot of bad weather and it was extremely cold. The ship is adequate but the staff are amazing. They work so hard.

I had looked up ports ahead of time so knew what I wanted to see. The complimentary shuttles from the port to the town area in the .Brazilian ports were great. There was very little WiFi available in Brazil, but it was a nice vacation. The sea days were relaxing, and we made lots of friends in 50 days. Service on the ship was excellent.

Excellent Captain and Cruise Director and Narrator Mickey Live (who were obviously all great friends) who helped make the cruise a great one.

It was really a lifetime and lifelong experience, no doubt! I've been at many places already, but... this is on the top! Absolutely worth the money, you really feel yourself in heaven.

We found the Eclipse to be a nice ship with a great staff. This itinerary was awesome. The entertainment was excellent throughout the ship. This was our second time on Celebrity the last being over 15 years ago. We were very impressed they were all that we remembered.

Loved every minute of our 19 day cruise experience except the disembarkation. Even though the last day (disembarkation chaos) was a black mark on Princess and the cruise overall I would reccomend this cruise itinerary, ship, staff and Princess in a heartbeat.

life time experience. loved it and the people of the V. impressed with the Priest Bill Gold - simple message and took little from our day - totally loyal to HA, Justin - huge energy and great vision - world class interviewer and Jude - extremely brilliant, knowledgeable and hot!

The on-board internet is light years ahead of previous Princess offerings. Download speed has more than doubled. Upload files are limited in size. Had a special on full-time internet (1/2 price) instead of incremental-log-off-log-on. Much better way to buy internet if it is priced reasonably. Our cruise was only 33 days and we got off at San Antonio, Chili.

EXCELLENT FANTASTIC AMAZING WONDERFUL , amazing experience going round the horn where the earth ends with great ports of call along the way.

Met amazing people and had a fabulous Cruise. Would do again on a heartbeat

Des paysages remarquables mais une ambiance à bord détestable : n'étant pas de culture "américaine" et ne parlant qu'un anglais (royaume uni) basique (mais pas nul) nous avons été simplement exclus de tout ce qui se passait à bord et en partie lors des excursions, notamment lorsque le guide n'avait pas le droit de s'exprimer en espagnol !

Remarkable landscapes but an atmosphere on board detestable: not being "American" culture and speaking only English (United Kingdom) basic (but not bad) we were simply excluded from everything that was on board and partly during excursions, especially when the guide was not allowed to speak Spanish!

only down side was not enough tender in port Stanley, 2.5 hour wait to get off the ship

Cruise was nice and met a lot of nice people. Tours on ship too expensive and not worth the money.

Oceania is still one of my favourite cruise lines because of the staff, service and food and size of their ships. Their excursions are far too expensive and not always as described. Try to book your own flights as theirs can be inconvenient and they charge a large deviation fee if you want an alternative flight.

Staff was very friendly and Knowledgeable. Seeing South America was spectacular but do expect cooler weather. All in all, we enjoyed the cruise.

I can’t say enough good things about this cruise, It was my favorite. We were so fortunate with the weather and were able to explore parts of the Antarctic peninsula that the ship was unable to go to on previous tours. Our experience with the US Palmer Ststion explorers who visited the ship all day one day was great. learned so much about the research going on and the way of life at the ststion,
