Embarkation

Huge crowds but NCL staff handled it well

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
A few years back NCL lessened the buffet and increased no fee restaurants and all are very good but I am a buffet person and would have liked the buffet to have stayed "grand" but as I said all were very good.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
plenty to do if you look

Entertainment

4 out of 5
NCL staff entertainers (stage Productions) were as always Excellent but some of the visiting entertainers were a 7 or 8 on a scale of 1 to 10, overall very good entertainment.

Children's Programs

no children

Service and Staff

our room steward Mr. Mike De Lara was EXCELLENT AAA+++***!!!

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
very nice and very clean

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
The combination bath/Jacuzzi/shower/WC were as big as a standard stateroom, well stocked coffee/tea machine and mini bar/fridge, comfortable bed, very nice sofa and dinning table with two chairs, amazing large forward facing balcony with two cushioned faux wicker recliners and two chairs with table and small table for drinks and snacks while using the recliners enjoying the fresh sea air. Our balcony view was the same as the ships forward sea view camera. overall Excellent. Fresh fruit and afternoon tea appetizer dishes were served daily. Towels were soft.

Ship tip

seek and you shall find-one must get out and mix

Ports of call

Buenos Aires, Argentina

5 out of 5
We stayed in Buenos Aires for a week before the cruise with local friends and relatives and as always enjoyed the "Paris of South America" immensely, plenty to do with friendly residents always willing to try for you.

Montevideo, Uruguay

5 out of 5
Best walk off the ship cruise port , you disembark right at the small memorial park/monument to the German Cruiser Admiral Graff Spee lost in the 1939 battle of the Rio de La Plata and continue on no vehicles allowed walking streets that take you right through old town, plenty of beautiful parks, historic sights and no pressure stores and vendors along the way.

Punta Del Este, Uruguay

3 out of 5
Punta Del Este is just a summer get away resident city for the wealthy from Buenos Aires and very nice but you will find nothing but a long walk if you do not purchase a shore excursion

Puerto Madryn, Argentina

3 out of 5
Long multi hour ride excursions are needed to get to the natural reserves (sea lions and penguins ) , for us the long hard dusty rides are not worth it but to each his own we did one of these long trip excursions

Stanley, Falkland Islands

5 out of 5
very nice place to just walk around town and short trip excursions to the penguins and war memorial/battle fields

Cruise Cape Horn
