I had higher expectations coming from the Caribbean and being in a Royal Caribbean Cruise before. I guess its a bit unfair to compare both Voyages and ships. So, we did enjoy the food; enterntaiment not so much. We definetly enjoyed Japan!! The cruise took away part of the joy. In the cruise no one would be as polite as the japanese were to us. Another thing is the time at each port was reduced significantly. Like in Aomori for example: "oh! so you did not book a tour with us? Too bad for you". Waited more than 3 hours than others to finally get off the ship. Good thing we didnt booked a car rental there. We would have been furious. Also there was so little time to really enjoy other ports that we were in constant strees about the time. But thats not the cruiseship fault and I get it. You are just giving us a taste of Japan. But they already cut down our time in our favorite stop wich was Osaka. Also at Shimizu (that one could not be helped, it was really dangerous). By the way we believe Celebrity hide from us very valuable info about the weather that day. They only told us there was bad weather coming. "Come back 2 hours earlier". But they never told us how bad it was. Like there was a Typhoon named Ewiniar or Aghon heading our way. Thankyou Celebrity for Hiding such valuable information!!!!! We went to the mount Fuji and our car shake a lot once we made it half mountain. Kinda scary and dangerous. It was a terrible stop and night at the cruise. Time and money also wasted.

It not worth the money no matter how much you paid.

Great cruise. Even though the ship is not new, it is very clean and appealing.

Ship size is just right. Not crowded for dining or various activities. Food and drinks are very good. People are mostly seniors on the ship. It is more laid back atmosphere.

Certainly this was a trip to remember and we had a great time, but if I were to do it again, I might do it on a different ship/cruise line.

Overall, great itinerary, great mix of travelers (ages, nationalities), good onboard activities, and great overall vibe. But the aging physical facilities, level of grime, and small decrements in food and service quality keep me from rating this cruise as excellent.

Very long journey across the Bering Sea with not a lot to do. Ports were good but were in port too short of a time in Japan.

The overall cruise was OK, but the service was not up to the level of our previous cruises,

First rate all around. Only complaint was casino often closed due to being in Japanese waters.

Alaska has been oversold by cruise line. There are too many people to actually experience what people have gone there for.

Greeted at many ports by dancers, tyco drummers, and folks greeting and waving at us upon arrival and departure. All cities were very, very clean with helpful people. Felt extremely safe in all cities. Once the logic of the subway and addresses can be identified it is easy to travel. Left Japan feeling very peaceful.

Overall, an excellent cruise offering a unique itinerary exemplified by diverse cultural experience and supported by superb onboard hospitality. Do take note of the need for advance planning when coursing distant seas, as communications are limited and at times - unavailable. Therefore, it is advisable to have all visas, entry permits and personal finances in order prior to sailing.

It was pretty good except some rough sea days and night.

We have been on many Oceania cruises. This was one of the best.

We enjoyed all ports in Japan. The excursions were enriching. The wine tasking were fun and educational. The lectures from the Astronomer, historian were fantastic. We had two sea days but enjoyed every minute of it on board.

Sailing on Celebrity was a wonderful way to see Japan. Navigating the transportation and the foreign food was made easy. The crew were delightful. The stops were great!

Oceania delivered one of my memorable cruise journey/experience with friendly services, quality food and well design /organized excursions. I'd already booked my next cruise with Oceania for my 2025 trip.

This was our second time cruising with NCL and we chose it because we had “cruise next” funds from before the pandemic and their ports fit our desired destinations but we will think twice about sailing again on this cruise line especially since they seem to not be very responsive when a passenger has an issue especially the noise over our heads from the kitchen and the length of time we waited in our cabin wrapped in our robes for someone to fix the heating system when it went out.

We had a fantastic time visiting Japan. It was an unforgettable experience visiting the country. The cruise itself was alright but not the best we have experienced in the past with Holland America.
