Review summary

we enjoyed this cruise very much. The ship was very nice, staff was so nice and they work so hard. Our ports of call were very interesting, and our excursions were great. We saw alot in every port, and things that we had not seen in other places in the world. We enjoy Holland America cruises, as they are not real fancy, but simple and the food is always very good.

the food on this cruise was one of the best we have had. All of the meals in the dining room were excellent. The upstairs buffet was like all of the buffets on any cruise. You have decent food, but by the time you get it to your table it is cold and not as appetizing .

Onboard Activities

My wife enjoyed Mahjong on the sea days, and we also brought alot of books. the offerings for activities were not that good, and very blah....this was a cruise for us to see places we had not been to before. The activities were not the reason we cruised.

this was one of the older ships from 2004 and the layout was very nice. We enjoyed the observation area, and we had a nice suite, so it was very comfortable.

Our first full suite on a cruise and it was very nice. Spoiled us for future cruises.

Ship tip

We liked the size of the ship and it was only 1900 passengers, so nothing seemed crowded except the buffet on sea days.
