Due to skirting around typhoons, we arrived a few hours late, so our excursions were all cut short and hurried, if not cancelled. We had booked a half day tour to see the an old Dutch Fort, Confucian temple and Shrine for Koxinga in Tainan. The whole tour felt rushed, crowded and things just seemed a bit run down. It is certainly possible to have temple and shrine fatigue. There wasn’t really anything spectacular about these sights, aside from their historical significance. It was amazing to see all the scooter traffic on the roads.
