We had a great time with our friends and that is what made the cruise enjoyable. The larger stateroom is nice but it doesn't make up for the smaller public areas. People spend most of their time outside their room as they should. It was our first time with NCL. Not sure that we will cruise with them again.

It was a great Cruise! by tlcerv

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Norwegian Joy / Destination: Mexico

Overall a fun cruise. I liked this ship much better than the NCL Sky ship. Clean, big and lots to do. I never felt like I was over crowded with people other than the first day of boarding.

Good Food. Service Fair. Logistics Poor. by JOHNandDRU

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Carnival Miracle / Destination: Mexico

This cruise was an experiment to interest my brother and his wife to cruising. We chose Carnival for the price. I think they enjoyed themselves and will venture to cruise again.

Super staff, Superior Ship by rfhinch

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Celebrity Solstice / Destination: Mexico

We took this cruise to catch a little sunshine, not because we were attacked to the ports. The ship was excellent, and we love being on board. Our most interesting shore experience was in San Diego. We walked over to the Midway. It’s less than a 10 minute stroll to the aircraft carrier, and we could have easily spent another 3 or 4 hours touring the ship. A fabulous experience for less than $40pp. Highly recommended!

Our first time to lovely Mexican Riviera by jarmbrus

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Discovery Princess / Destination: Mexico

Beautiful ports. Love the many sunsets one can see every night being on the West coast. Pacific Ocean is cooler waters than the Caribbean, but still lovely.

Overall service and experience was great and wish we had just a bit more time to explore at the first two ports before reboarding.

Free Children policy does not work for us by JancoCEO

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Navigator of the Seas / Destination: Mexico

We are long time cruise passengers on Royal Caribbean and their shift in policy to cater to children who are free is causing us to rethink another cruise on this line. As we see it the line is letting children ride free and has programs for them that the adult passengers w/o kids are paying for . Royal shouldn’t be a Disney wannabe!

Fun cruise out of SF by bradpennington

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Royal Princess / Destination: Mexico

Highly reccommended cruise, especially if you live in the Bay Area. Although we prefer the veranda, cruising can be an very affordable form of travel vaction without the need to pack and upack multiple time, grocery shopping, cooking and cleaning. We also highly reccommend the unlimited wifi, drink, specialty dining and pre-paid gratuity options.

Wonderful 4 night trip!! by thiel29

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Radiance / Destination: Mexico

This 4 night trip was well worth the cost of what we paid. We had an inside Cabin on Deck 9, and it was close to all the restaurants, pool and was very quiet. We love inside cabins as we sleep really well as they are so dark. We will stay on deck 9 again. The food on this ship is (in my opinion) just okay, nothing gourmet or special. The buffet is limited, but we enjoyed the Burger and BBQ restaurants. The Dining room for dinner had great service, but not gourmet quality, and we are not fussy eaters but it was fine for us. We did not buy a drink package, so cannot comment on that. Entertainment was top notch. The 2 shows by the Playlist players were exceptional, and state of the art imagery. I would go back on this ship just to see the shows. I live in Las Vegas, and those shows could go up the entertainment here. We did not enjoy the Piano bar as it was just another Karaoke bar, but all the musicians no matter what venue you are at are excellent. The hot tubs by the mid ship pool were so crowded (with kids) that we did not go in. The cruise line needs to do something about all the kids unsupervised in the hot tubs. However, there is a hot tub in the Adult Serenity area to use. Overall, my husband and I said we would do this cruise again when it is warmer, as January can be chilly when on board. We had an excellent time.

Great Cruise with Family by larkindo

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Diamond Princess / Destination: Mexico

As part as making reservations with Armed Forces Travel, we were told that we would receive $25 onboard credit per room. The other members of our group received theirs, but we did not. Princess told us we needed to contact Armed Forces Travel. Upon returning, I did so and was placed on hold as the AFT representative contacted Princess. After almost two hours on the phone, was told they need to research this further and would get back to me in 24-48 hours. It's been over a week and have not heard anything.
