Parts of the cruise and trip was good. by bill0838

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Norwegian Epic / Destination: Europe - Western Mediterranean

I am sorry over all we were disappointed. I ask for a double and was assured we would get one and we did not. We got two single and they keep coming apart. We had to chase our bath towels several times as they left us none. Three time no ice in the room. The food over all was not that great. A lot of the time it was cold. Really blan and a lot of the same over and over again. WE did eat in one of the dining rooms and that was good. We booket and excavation in Naples the pompeii and was told it was a 8 hours excavation and it was not. 3 hours at the sight. 45 minutes at a pearl shop not mention in the add. and 35 minute there and back. They said cost would be 119.00 and they charged us 270.00.

Excellent Mediterranean Cruise by tcliffor

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Norwegian Epic / Destination: Europe - Western Mediterranean

This was our first trip to Europe. We had a great time, but if you do the excursions, be prepared to walk quite a bit. Many beautiful sights.

August 8th 2018 expiration date with a return from cruise on May 22, 2018 ruined our cruise. No one told us that there was a 120 days window for my wifes passport so her passport was invalid. by BillyDale

The cruise was good but the communications on passport qualifiers from Cruise Only was terrible.

Cruise good , but services need to improve. The price is not cheap . Time in cities was little , in my opinion will be better less ports but stay more time in each visited cities .

Overall good experience, but I have concerns about the main kitchen. by chrisfa

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Symphony of the Seas / Destination: Europe - Western Mediterranean

Overall it was a fun trip. We had issues with a hair in the food, and at least one case of food born illness from the main dining room.

Disappointing by richdonna

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Symphony of the Seas / Destination: Europe - Western Mediterranean

We were very disappointed in this cruise. Its is a brand new ship and we paid a ton of money for this trip. I found the other ships a better value. Everything is an upcharge, the menu in the dining room was awful. The drinks were terrible but the staff was excellent ! We had some of the nicest people for crew members that I think we have ever had. They also took away a lot of perks that we use to get and we don't get as many benefits for booking suites as we did in the past. I would research other cruise lines before booking with Royal Caribbean.

Worst cruise -- cheap by ninasdesigns

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Costa Mediterranea / Destination: Europe - Western Europe

Poor customer service and organization. We were stranded in Hamburg when cruise screwed up bus shuttles back to ship.we were charged for everything from table water to a hotel tax each day. Disappointed with treatment of non-excursion passengers. Money was foremost the theme on this cruise. We love a Royal Carribean and others for how they treated everyone.

Ports are great -- cruise overall -- so so by tbpusa

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Costa Magica / Destination: Europe - Northern Europe

I have sailed Costa in the past which is why I decided to book another sailing with the line. Unfortunately this time around - the experience was different - and not as good as our previous one. Costa now charges for pizza in the evening, as well as ice reams and desserts. There are no complimentary snacks to be found after 10pm which on every other cruise line is not the case. The cruise line didn't enforce the emergency drill for those who had missed it - of all cruise lines one would think that this would be enforced. The cruise line insisted that we could not leave the ship in St. Petersburg unless we were on an excursion with and only them (this was not true - we booked our own excursion ahead of time) For breakfast - there was a lot of chaos and disorganization The ports were great overall - the cruise itself asn't bad but I'd think twice abut taking this line in the future b/c of the changes they now have in place. This changes in my opinion detract from your overall if cruise experience.

NCL’s quality is declining by HintOLime

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Norwegian Breakaway / Destination: Europe - Northern Europe

The room was not very clean (soap scum in the shower, toothpaste on the wall, used needle container still in the bathroom from the last cruise, blood on the mattress...the ship had been in dry dock for 2 weeks getting new carpet, yet the staterooms were still dirty), one of the room lights never turned off, many days there wasn’t a bath mat, the ripped old towels used to make animals were recycled into the bathroom for us to use, the divider between the balconies was loose & made a constant banging noise. The food, even in the dining rooms wasn’t much better than a buffet, a couple of the restaurant staff got our orders wrong because they didn’t write them down. The entertainment was cheesy, boring, & didn’t fit the interests of the guests. One show had many people that walked out throughout the performance. Overall it was average. Nothing like NCL used to be 10+ years ago.

Kind of upset not a happy cruiser. by antos4less

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Norwegian Breakaway / Destination: Europe - Northern Europe

I loved the ship I gad been on it for it's inauguration in Miami. I was very disappointed at some things on the ship. First my luggage was lost for apprx. 3 hours after embarkation my luggage was opened and it was really a mess. On the 2nd or 3rd day I reported a bracelet that I had lost and was never able to find it. I went to customer service and made a Report I received a call from security in which I reported mtself to CS and no one was tbere at the time. They had asked me to go at times were I was always out on excursions and I couldn't leave because I would have lost my money for the excursions. Very disappointed I never expected this from NCL. I recommend this trip to 13 of my friends and they were all very upset about everything. You need to get your act together because without US the cruisers you wouldn't exist. My room Steward Paul was amazing he was the best thing that happen to me and your shows were great but the rest you need some improvement asap. It was a very bad experience on my part and my group of 13. I hope you read this and give me some explanation. Heydee Zamora #13649

Nice potential cruise and some disappointments by philliplowe

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Norwegian Breakaway / Destination: Europe - Northern Europe

I was disappointed with this cruise for several reasons: 1) The change of port from Stockholm to Nynashamn was a huge waste of time. We spent 3-1/2 hours traveling by train back-and-forth to Stockholm. 2) A few items in the work didn't work, and require multiple phone calls. 3) Many times, the house keeping desk would not answer calls; 3) The Russia St. Petersburg's clearance was horrible, waiting two hours in lines to be cleared. VISA is absolutely required, but was told to us. Thus we can only use the ultra-expensive excursion trip offered by NCL.

Good itinerary. Nice ship. Poor communications and information in arranging cruise and onboard. by Cruiser88015563

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Riviera / Destination: Europe - Western Mediterranean

Itinerary was good. Food was fair. Communication was poor. Only found out after beginning the cruise that we could dine in specialty restrauants without up charge. By then all of the reasonable dining times were taken. Destinations staff does not have maps and information of the next port until after the ship docks there. It makes it virtually impossible, for example, to try to plan a short morning visit into the port and get back for your afternoon excursion. Typically, at 10:00 AM, there is a frenzied crowd surrounding the Concierge/Destinations desk seeing the hand out maps just brought on board, Dozens of clients all trying to ask the single concierge handing the maps out, “how do I get to....” It was incomprehensible that a “first class cruise line” would not have the next day’s city Information available at least the evening before. State room was nice. The ship seemed well maintained and one did not feel as though there were 1000-1200 passengers on board.

A Pleasant and Awakening Experience by sadarme

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Regal Princess / Destination: Europe - Northern Europe

What has interested me of this Baltic cruise is a tour to Berlin and St Petersburg. Unfortunately when we reached Warnamende, the fog was so thick, we did not dock until 11:00 am, thereby too late to tour Berlin though the captain adjusted the sailing time to midnight. But there was ample time to tour Rostock and it was a nice experience. A German bent over backwards to help us get a train ticket, he missed his own train ride, yet it not bother him. St Petersburg tour to the palaces is a revealing experience, never thought there was so much valuable artifacts in this City. The previous impressions that Russians are stern and arrogant people but they are friendly and helpful people.
