Wonderful Mediterranean Cruise by Harlyj

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Jewel of the Seas / Destination: Europe - Mediterranean

The ship was nice, staff was friendly and fun! The itinerary was awesome. I would like to spend more time in Naples, maybe an overnight. There is a lot to see and it is worth the extra time.

Excellent itinerary with issues. by dlowe100

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Koningsdam / Destination: Europe - Mediterranean

This was an excellent cruise and itinerary despite some bumps along the way as described above. The ship is beautiful and well maintained. This was probably the friendliest cruise that we have been on out of 14 cruises in terms of the passengers. The average age was 50 -70 years of well travelled people with most passengers doing 20 plus days. A very interesting group. The ship had many varied activities for the guests which were for the most part well prepared. The entertainment was skilled and varied. The only thing I think Holland America should reconsider is the Club Orange, which based on my discussions with other guests, think it is an elitist concept that is not consistent with the friendliness and inclusiveness that is promoted with the Holland America line and its position in the marketplace. They should leave this concept to the other lines that cater to the upper class.

Average cruising experience by marinaphillips

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Veendam / Destination: Europe - Mediterranean

The ship needs updating, decor is tired. WiFi needs to be available free of charge, TV has two channels only, and reception very poor. There is no self service laundry on the ship, you have to pay $30 per bag to have your laundry done. Library had great variety of table games and puzzles, but no selection of periodicals/magazines, the books collection needs to be revamped and arranged in a user friendlier format.

Venice cruise round trip to Athens by stephenmeeks

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: MSC Lirica / Destination: Europe - Mediterranean

Overall the food was fair, but not great. The 11th floor aft buffet space is too bunched up and crowded for guests movement around the buffet and between the tables. There is barely enough room for two way walking traffic at the service lines. Moving the rails 1/2 meter out from the service bar would help. Move the larger tables out of the aft window viewing areas and put smaller tables for two guests in their place. There are many windows that could be easily washed from the deck that are very dirty all around the ship. Having picture windows on a ship that are unnecessarily dirty is very poor staff management.

So much fun! by lerlich

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Crystal Serenity / Destination: Europe - Eastern Mediterranean

The Crystal folks really try to think of everything to make a passenger comfortable. The food and service are excellent and we will be likely to try another cruise with Crystal, even though a prior cruise with Regent may have had better overall excursions.

Excellent Cruise of the Baltic on the Viking Sky by DougnLinda

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Viking Sky / Destination: Europe - Northern Europe

This was our first cruise on Viking and it was a wonderful experience. It is the quality of the overall experience that really sets this cruise line apart.

A great glimpse of important and beautiful cities and regions of western civilization. by lauder

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Viking Star / Destination: Europe - Mediterranean

This is a wonderful cruise with the Croatian and Greek stop being the highlights. It was very disappointing not to see the David and the Uffizi in Florence, and Viking should indicate in its materials that because of the day of the week for this stop these two sights cannot be visited.

Relaxing Cruise by vlbufford

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Wind Surf / Destination: Europe - Western Mediterranean

It was a very relaxing and nice cruise. Sometimes the Excursion fellow James is a little "fake" and seems only interested in helping you if you booked your excursion from Windstar. Not enough relevant information is given for Port visits that are so short. The Sailing part was a big disappointment compared to the "Royal Clipper" you may want to spy on how they do things.

Very good ports of call by tmassey500

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Marina / Destination: Europe - Western Europe

Ship and crew GREAT....overall cost is not worth traveling with Oceania again. Would only travel with them if Ports of Call were special....like this trip....Morocco and Porto, Portugal. Celebrity is a better value !!

We had a wonderful time on this cruise. Much better than expected by frankfmiles

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Norwegian Spirit / Destination: Europe - Mediterranean

After reading past reviews we were somewhat skeptical but the cruise was wonderful. The people were great and so friendly. Shows were very good, Ship was very clean. Would go on this ship again at any time. Love the smaller ships with limited passengers. The passengers on our cruise were friendly and met many new friends and had a great time. I would have liked to have seen more products such as t-shirts and sweat shirts for sale with a greater selection.

Strong and potent gas odor throughout the ship. Many cabins under renovation. Bad fumes. by mrsmoody514

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Norwegian Spirit / Destination: Europe - Mediterranean

The ports were great. The entertainment was good, but wished there was a comedy show. Dinner service was slower than usual. Food tasted good. The ships odors were unbearable many times throughout the trip. Inside the cabins smelled like diahrea. Drinks were VERY expensive.

Ok for the Price by ntr1

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: MSC Divina / Destination: Europe - Western Mediterranean

For the price, it was a decent time. The fact that there were stops every day made the fact that the food wasn't so great tolerable. Also, the fact that we were off the boat every day also made up for the lack of entertainment. If we had a full day at sea, I think that it would have been tedious. Also, the fact that my children were older made the fact that the children's area wasn't the greatest something we could accommodate.
