Okay vacation 😕 by MIGUELJOSE1115

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Norwegian Epic / Destination: Europe - Western Mediterranean

My opinion basically is that this sailing was more inclined and catered to people of an older age group. I am 38 and it was not a Big Bang for me.

Absolutely wonderful!! by cpen67483235

Of all the cruise lines I’ve used I would rather cruise with Norwegian every time! It is definitely my cruise line of choice!

Great boat, great service, good food, poor ports. by Cruiser35644591

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: MSC Divina / Destination: Europe - Western Mediterranean

We knew going into this that Genoa and Marseille are Detroit equivalents but excited for the other ports of call. We were unsure of the MSC cruise line so we tempered our expectation, although we were incredibly satisfied and impressed with their boarding procedures and efficiency. They put Norwegian (our only cruise comparison) to shame. All in all a great trip even with the 2 disappointing ports.

Excellent Mediterranean Vacation by jecowell

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Symphony of the Seas / Destination: Europe - Western Mediterranean

7 days on board is not enough. Plenty of activities and venues and despite the large number of cruisers, there were no lines (i.e. no waiting). The ship's layout is such that it doesn't seem that there are that many people on board. Well planned and well organized cruise from start to finish. Continuous fun and enjoyment.

Great Mideterranean Cruise, wish we had more time in each port by LenaCpa

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Norwegian Epic / Destination: Europe - Western Mediterranean

1. Great Mediterranean Cruise, but not enough time at each port. 2. Swimming pools were very small and nor designed for people having difficulties using the ladder/steps as oppose to flat solid steps. 3. Swimming pools close way too early 4. Except for Circus, entertainment was not the greatest 5. Wish there were restaurants or bars open late in the open area space

Amazing Port of Calls-Royal Caribbean not so much by cynthiaransom

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Symphony of the Seas / Destination: Europe - Western Mediterranean

The Symphony of the Seas is an AMAZING ship. The activities and entertainment is GREAT! My family and I had an AWESOME time. They have everything covered, you could never be bored. The service was over the top EXCELLENT and sealed the deal for us. We experienced one negative and that was having to pay to get clothes ironed, that;s just unacceptable. I also think they need to reevaluate the drink package to include Starbucks. If Royal Caribbean put a little more emphasis on the cruiser, they rating would definitely be 5 stars. Go enjoy, as the ports of calls are EXCITING, so much to do and WE did everything lol. Looking into a 2020 cruise of Greece on a Royal cruise ship. #SymphonyoftheseasROCK

Very nice ports of call by Lino777

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Norwegian Epic / Destination: Europe - Western Mediterranean

Very nice but spent a lot more money than I had anticipated. Charging $15 cork fee for each bottle of wine when bringing bottles from port-of-call is very uncalled for and petty. Especially since my bar tab was very, very high. Insult on top of injury.

Lots of people by pecaruso

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Norwegian Epic / Destination: Europe - Western Mediterranean

I felt that Norwegian provided the bare basics and left you to pay extra for too many things. Granted, they are in business to make money but they should also look for more repeat cruisers.

Terrific Symphony of the Seas cruise by hurthlinda

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Symphony of the Seas / Destination: Europe - Western Mediterranean

This Mediterranean cruise was beyond any of our expectations. Symphony of the Seas has a huge WOW factor. The cabins are well appointed and comfortable. The tours were excellent. It is amazing to have such a huge ship and lots of passengers and never feel crowded. Central Park was a favorite.

Very Disappointed by derrick26959257

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Norwegian Epic / Destination: Europe - Western Mediterranean

This was our honeymoon and we looked forward to it for six months. We cruised on the Breakaway last August and we had the best time. The staff on the Epic just was not on the same level as on the Breakaway. My husband was so excited to see Rome and because of the actions of the company and the poor quality of the excursion, our day in Rome was ruined. We never asked for money back but Boyd Chin assumed that was what we wanted. His refusal to give us anything to make us feel better was shocking. Further, his dismissive attitude and insinuation that we were foolish for taking the recommendations of the tour guide were hurtful and abhorrent.

A great taste of coastal Italy and France. by ctomchak72

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Celebrity Reflection / Destination: Europe - Western Mediterranean

We had an amazing trip. We combined a few days in Rome beforehand with the 6 night cruise and it gave us a great overview of stops we might not have visited. Our cabin (sky suite) was a nice size and the food, especially in Murano, was better than expected. We traveled with 12 people and it made things very easy since there was a span in ages from 9 to 57. There was something for everyone. The kids club and teen lounge didn't completely appeal to our kids this time around. While the cruise was family friendly, it was a more sophisticated vibe and the young ones were a bit bored. The boys spent a great deal of time between the pool and the basketball court. They would have loved some nightly organized sport events in lieu of the lounge. The young women (18) were happy to tag along with us old people and do Karaoke and Silent Disco (fun). Our favorite stops were Rome (but we didn't consider it a stop since we were there 3 days before boarding), La Spezia (Cinque Terre was amazing), Nice and Corsica. We went into every port. I was not a fan of Sardinia as I found the city over run with graffiti and it didn't have the same feel as the other ports. Naples is not one of my favorites either, but we chartered a boat for the day and went to Capri and had our most enjoyable day there. Overall, I thought the value for the investment was amazing. We spent less on this cruise and were able to upgrade to a suite with a premium beverage package for much less than most cruises. I checked prices on future sailings and haven't seen as good a deal on anything at this time. I would recommend this cruise to my friends and family in the future.

Ideal Mediterranean by gkleinmd

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Celebrity Reflection / Destination: Europe - Western Mediterranean

Our dinner (Opus) servers were exceptional -- Xavier, and especially Naik, who deserves to become a head waiter. He was professional yet genuine. Our "bar server", Alexandra, was also exceptional, guiding us through the confusion of our Elite allowances, and being especially warm and patient. Kudos to all. Didn't like having to deal with Shore Excursions with loud music next door!

uncomfortabe and unpleasant by destiny222

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Symphony of the Seas / Destination: Europe - Western Mediterranean

for a new ship, we had to report a creak when you stepped on the bathroom floor. maintenance was in our cabin twice and couldn't find the problem. the food choices in windjammer was fairly the same everyday and you had to walk to 3 different areas to get a full choice of the food. everything should have been in a central location. the wooden deck chairs in the smoking section on deck 15 were extremely uncomfortable. you sat down and slid to the back of the chair which made it impossible to use the standing ash trays

Great western Med cruise by wtphillips03

International airline tickets should be purchased 120+ days early. I think the price of the excursions is excessive.

Regent is Best Cruise Line by ronwoodcrest

Overall best cruise experience we have encountered. Food in all venues was excellent, staff very accommodating and all inclusive pricing made it very pleasant without being nickeled and dimed.
