kDecor great, activities-so many it was hard to make a choice.

I have cruised NCL before and it the Best.

A nice not too extravagant built ship. Very comfortable stateroom

Cruise was great, the itinerary was fantastic, the staff was friendly and helpful, especially our cabin person and waiter. The customer Svs desk were not very friendly, could have been English wasn't their first or even second language, but they came across short and curt. The food was good, cooking for 3000 isn't easy but there was a good variety and plenty.

The ship was clean, well appointed, all public areas were very attractive, state rooms on lower decks adequate, lots of activities to participate if interested.

Mediocre would be a compliment. The staterooms were worn, beds need replacing. the cruiseline did everything as cheaply as possible including the food and the "tours". A "Russian Ballet" for $99. was a student perfpormance for cruise passengers only. No tour lived up to its explanation. This was a huge disappointment.

The ship was the best. Always very clean. Our staff was wonderful. Hats off to our stateroom stewart and our dinning room staff.

This is a relatively small ship and it tends to show its age. But the crew provides excellent service and the food is excellently prepared and presented. I would definitely cruise on this ship again.

The crew was very friendly and very good at their jobs. Customer service was great, only one staff member was not friendly. The boarding process was painless and NCL allows each guest to have their own on-board charge card so cabin mates don't have keep track of who had what. Also the prices on board are very good.

Never once did Celebrity contact us by mail or phone. We were not given an itinerary of the events so as a result we had one "formal" outfit and there were 3 formal nights to which we were denied into dining room. I e-mailed several questions we had and only after showing some anger in that we paid over $15,000 and couldn't even get an answer to our questions. On departure we paid the $33 each for transfer to the airport. They advised us our luggage would be at the airport. The bus driver (who did not speak English) dropped us off many, many gates from where Celebrity had placed our luggage outside the terminal (not guarded). I doubt we would have ever found our luggage had not an airport employee calling Celebrity to find out where we were supposed to go. The bus was full and no one had any idea what to do since no one had Celebritys phone number to call.

The cruise visited wonderful ports ... lots of great sightseeing opportunities ... but the ship-board experience was a challenging and frustrating example of hospitality. The Vision of the Seas is aging and much too small/boring. There are no specialty dining options -- only the main dining room and the buffet, both of which were always crowded. The 'cafe' in the Solarium was uncomfortable ... it was difficult eating food after watching people shirtless or in speedos grabbing food ahead of you. There were virtually no entertainment options aside from the music/dancing of the Royal Caribbean singers/dancers. No comedians, no magicians, nothing. Particularly frustrating on the day at sea ... All you could do is sleep all day, or drink in one of the dozen bars on the ship. Further, I know that gratuities are expected aboard cruises ... but the number of times we were reminded of tipping was outrageous. For more than half of the cruise days, the onboard newsletter contained flyers about prepaid gratuities ... the ship TV channel looped a video about gratuities ... the envelopes were constantly left in annoyingly conspicuous places ... Enough. Such a turn off. It definitely resulted in reduced tips from me. Tips should be for quality service ... not for annoying your guests.

Great cruise. However, 7 of the 10 dining areas required additional cost to utilize.

For a newer ship, the Eurodam seemed worn already. The staff were as diligent at cleaning etc etc but it simply wasn't as nice as the other HAL ships I've sailed on. The one highlight on board was a new 'private' restaurant... Canneletto that occupied one half of the Lido deck buffet area. This was a no charge but reservation required eating experience that made you feel you were getting something a little added for your dollar. And the service staff there were excellent. Some of the line staff for food at the Lido were frequently 'snappy' Again, different than I had witnessed on other HAL occassions. The land package tours were very pricey. Some were exceptional, but a few you felt like you paid alot to get a little. This itinerary (Norway fjords and Great Britain with Brugges/Ghent, Belgium) was interesting for the mix of places. I was remiss in that I should have known better the seasonal conditions for these spots some of which were quite rainy/overcast/and at times colder. I didn't pack well. The ship wasn't always prepped well for suggesting on days ashore the expectations. Getting on the boat was horrible.(Off was great and smooth). We had an hour and half wait in a hot muggy tent! No explanation and no apology???!!! Our passports were taken day one to be held by the ship for the Scotland side of the travel. Not much explanation about this or prior prep to build the expectation that it would be happening. Especially irksome since the first half of the trip was in Norway. I have had this happen before but in Russia with the collection of the passports the day before and the return the day after. Its a disquieting feeling when you are without this while traveling in other countries. I still don't feel that there was much explanation by them of what the issues are that they have to cope with that led them to this need. An explanation would have gone a long way to make it feel a little better. Its these subtle little things that make you feel a little less 'cared' for or about. The ships's design layout didn't really impress me for being part of their 'new' class of ship, the Signature class. It was certainly beautfiul as all ships are but didn't 'wow' you. My experience last year on Celebrity's Eclipse of their new Solstice class, had that effect. You walked on board and every element of the cruise environment and experience left you feeling "WOWWW!". Maybe I was spoiled by that and expected the same from HAL. It didn't happen. And I have figured out that I will be doing Celebrity going forward or not at all. I was able to avoid signing up for all the enticements of their future cruise desk, which says it all!
