Beautiful cruise to Iceland by jfgreenberg

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Norwegian Prima

The NCL Prima is a beautiful new ship, providing great onboard food and dining options with a friendly, accommodating staff. This cruise itinerary visits beautiful ports with great histories and we thoroughly enjoyed the experiences. The shipboard entertain options need improvement.

We would take this cruise again! The ports of call in Norway are particularly beautiful.

Norwegian Fjords by Rosys

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Rotterdam

Good cruise for people over 70. If you love playing card games and chilling, also great. If you are looking for exciting and diverse night life, not the cruise for you.

Beautiful Ship and a Superb Travel Experience! by MarinTraveller

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Viking Venus

We found almost everything about this cruise on Viking Venus to be exemplary. The couple of disappointments were handled with concern and follow-up that was very impressive. Viking is not inexpensive (!) but our experience fulfilled all of our expectations and then some. We will definitely sail again on a Viking Ocean Cruise in the future.

10 Night Baltic by HWCrew

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Norwegian Dawn

This is a great itinerary to see the baltic. You are able to get some smaller countries in and still see the bigger areas. I would recommend this cruise to anyone interested, it is well worth your time and money!

Great Trip with Exceptional Service by robp67

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Marina

We had a wonderful time. We took our three children, and their spouses, on their first cruise. The ship and service couldn't have been better.

Luxury in the North by sfeinschreiber

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Marina

Overall, a very good cruise. We already have other cruises booked with Oceania. The main areas needing improvement are the excursions. They are generally "good" but not "great".

A very disappointing Viking Cruise by betty14

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Viking Mars

We had done 7 prior cruises with Viking. We knew what to expect. That is why we were disappointed with Viking Homelands. We had high expectations, but we were highly diappointed, not because of the ship or service, but because we paid high dollars for a 14 days cruise that will take us to magnificent places, but they decided to change them for very low quality places, and the included tours were below our expectations.

Okay by stpessovine

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Pride

I think this cruise would have been awesome if just a few things were fixed/addressed. In addition it would also be great if we could have more time in port. Usually when we arrived the towns were not open yet. We would get off around 8 but the businesses didn’t open up until 10. Then we would need to be back on board around 4. So this meant you were having to make plans around 3 so that you could ensure transportation back to the ship.

Fantastic service on board the ship. Food is excellent, although repetitive on long cruises. by wekwek

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Star Legend

If you are considering touring this part of the world, I would suggest taking a cruise ship through the Norwegian fjords. But Iceland is really much better seen with an inland tour. The towns the ship docks at are very small and you have to take long bus rides to see the sights. Save the long busrides and the expense and do Iceland by land instead of sea.

Great itinerary, average cruiseline by jackpalexander1

Overall we enjoyed the cruise. We will not likely cruise on NCL again. We've had better experience on other cruise lines

Adventures in the midnight sun by mimi2be

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Norwegian Star

The cabin price was great, which made up a little for the extremely expensive norway tours, which in addition to being short and costly, also seemed prone to being canceled, which was disappointing. I did enjoy all the tours I went on as well as the free time I spent at some of the ports. The ship was a nice, comfy home base to come back to everyday after chilly days out.

Worst Cruise I've had by WillsaCruisin

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Island Princess

Absolutely the worst cruise I've ever taken. Norway was fabulous and each time I got off the ship, I had to make myself get back on (because I'd already paid for everything) rather than stay in any of the Norwegian ports. I actually looked into flying back to the UK just so I could get off the ship, but the rates were astronomical from anywhere in Norway. I complained everyday about the VERY loud noises in my stateroom, but each time was told "we know about this, we're working on it" ... for 16 days. Ultimately, they acknowledged there was a "problem" and offered by a tiny amount of on-board credit. Given the terrible ship, the mostly indifferent crew, and the bland food, I'll never go on Princess again.

A MUST FOR ALL TO EXPERIENCE by LeeClan

Second time we have been on this ship and it does not disappoint. Ricco and Jeffrey at the Gatsby bar are exceptional. Very friendly and engaging. We will definitely go on the Star again depending upon the itinerary.

Scandinavian Siholutette by kaubreyobrien

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Celebrity Silhouette

This was our first cruise experience and probably our last. While we mainly booked this trip for the ports of call, the on board experience came with disappointing activities and was far from a family friendly cruise like we were told from . We were also sold to upgrade to Concierge Class and we experienced zero benefit for the added cost. The ship was modern and the crew were lovely. I think this will be our last cruise experience for a while.

Itinerary recommended; Norwegian Prima not so much. by djdc

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Norwegian Prima

We liked the ports and the crew on the ship. We were not happy with the way the cruise started out (late departure, being informed our itinerary had changed). We were not happy that the Observation Lounge was closed (leased to Park West for their art auctions). We did not like the layout of the ship and small venues - it led to crowding and probably the flu and Covid breakout that happened at the end of the cruise!

Wonderful taste of Scandinavia by donesimonet

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Viking Jupiter

The cruise was an exceptional experience. The ports, excursions, on board life were all excellent. Other than the lost luggage incident, the experience was amazing. We would recommend spending 2 days in Gdańsk as a single day would not allow a full appreciation of a beautiful city.

The cruise was very educational. by 3hondas

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Viking Jupiter

We were very impressed with the overall service of the Viking crew and staff. A bit disappointed that we visited so many ports on holidays or Sundays when shops are closed. We did not like dealing with the air reservations and having to upgrade our seats after the fact rather than from the outset. Was a bit stressful.
