Overall....great cruise experience. Chaotic travel experience if you are using local transportation at the train stations! Many of our excursions were by the usage of public transportation. We Saved more money that way; therfore, the leave ship early to avoid crowd! Advice: consider using AI to plot out your excursion itinerary! Be specific on points of interest you would like to visit ; how long you want to be away from the ship; and whether you prefer using public transportation. I found AI to be VERY helpful in planning my trip. I saved HUNDREDS OF DOLLARS by NOT using the ships excursions vs planning my own excursions. Consider purchasing an eSIM card for your phone. You will avoid expensive roaming charges. Safe travels

Do it for the itinerary, it's awesome. Just wish we would have spent more time at each port.

Our cruise was many years in the planning and it did not disappoint. We met fabulous people. The Royal Caribbean App was fantastic to keep in touch with other guests and the itinerary was great. A definite memorable experience.

Was a great trip overall. Could have made it 12 days - didn't need an extra sea day and Toulon. Summer is always crowded and hot but Cunard was great. Last year we did a 10 day cruise on Holland America and Cunard was also pretty good. by sankaranvinod

Was a great trip overall. Could have made it 12 days - didn't need an extra sea day and Toulon. Summer is always crowded and hot but Cunard was great. Last year we did a 10 day cruise on Holland America and Cunard was also pretty good. The fitness center was good, small but good. Not too crowded. The 3rd floor walk around was good but they closed it every day for a couple of hours for maintenance. It was only me and my wife. The first 7 days were very peaceful and in Rome, a lot of people disembarked and new ones boarded and it was a lot of children who were loud and not well behaved in the dining rooms and even during shows - were loud and got their iPads with them. Very disappointing. Waste of a sea day and another day for Toulon. Could have stayed overnight in Rome and another city - would have been a better use of the days. Overall was a great vacation.

Great cruise with Princess on the Mediterranean! by charles06508970

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Sun Princess

This cruise was planned a hear in advance and worth it. We did have an issue with some of our planned amenities being changed during the course of waiting since we planned so far in advance but we received a credit to alleviate some of the heartache. The service was top notch. The cleanliness and food were awesome. There was something to do all every time slot that you could imagine so it was up to you to take downtime. I can't imagine staying on the ship while in port but there was plenty to do if you did. My main issue is that you have to understand the packages before you sail. The standard package doesn't include any drinks aside from water and you have to know the specific restaurant locations per your package and what is included or you'll be asking at each location what is complimentary. The packages you choose will also depend on if you are a drinker and how many wifi enabled devices you need. Aside from those things, the ship and the ports were exactly what we needed.

Relaxing cruise through Greece, Italy, and Malta by rhondareal

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Norwegian Epic

We hadn't cruised with NCL in over 30 years, so we weren't sure what to expect. I would rate it up there with Royal Caribbean. We had a nice time, were pleasantly surprised by the food. But we were disappointed with the activities. The pool was impossible due to so many people, so many of the activities on the ship were geared towards you spending more money (art auctions, jewelry shows, lessons on skincare so you'd buy from the spa). Some days there was almost nothing we were interested in doing. Plus, there was only one free channel for movies and TV, the rest you had to pay for. We didn't watch much, but after a long day in the sun, it would have been nice to have a choice. Instead we watched a lot of kid's movies because that's all that was offered.

10 nights, 9 ports--a FULL itinerary! by carrieblack

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Norwegian Epic

We just wrapped up our visit to Europe including 10 days aboard the Norwegian Epic. We were cruising with 2 16 year old girls, and there was plenty of storage for our clothes and shoes and luggage. We each had a carry-on and backpack for our trip. While there was plenty of storage, the room to move around the cabin and get ready all at once...including showering and using the restroom required a little planning! Haha. We knew that the toilet area and shower area was a little see-through, so we planned ahead with 2 black shower curtains and command strip hooks to add a little more privacy. The best part of our cruise was the ease of getting a place to eat--our favorite breakfast place--the pub! They had an amazing fruit plate and breakfast sandwich! We also enjoyed Moderno's "salad bar" and Cagney's steaks! We never waited more than 3 minutes to be seated in the dining room, and we needed a table for 6! We were not a fan of the coffee served in the dining room or at the buffet. The only coffee we enjoyed was the Starbuck's coffee. The ship had plenty of options for activities and places to relax once back from exploring the ports, but shade wasn't always easy to find. Tip-deck 15 had an area that frequently had space to enjoy the view under cover, but sometimes the deck chairs were stacked up and stored when it was rocky or too windy. While we definitely enjoyed our cruise and the ports we visited, our room definitely was in need of a refresh. The restroom always had a urine smell, the balcony (including the table and chairs and railing) and the drawers definitely needed to be wiped down when we arrived, and there was a need for a deep clean of the carpets and better cleaning in between sailings...our room had a leftover "snackle box" above the closet area, and some notes found in between the pullout bed and the balcony door. We the bedside reading lamps didn't work, and one of the lights above the couch area was burnt out. We also had several days that our room was not cleaned until well into the afternoon--even when we had been in port all day! Time to do some deep cleaning and better housekeeping checks, Norwegian.

Wonderful by ijamison

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Odyssey of the Seas

All excursions were Excellent except the Amalfi coast. The tour guide didn’t show us around to any sites She left us too long in Santorini and we didn’t have enough time on the Amalfi Coast. She didn’t show us around. We went to a restaurant that didn’t have any seating available. They told us to get our food to good. But when seating became available they wouldn’t let us eat our food there after we paid for it. It was not a good time. The boat was overloaded on our way back to shore.

A great cruise by barefootwilly

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Odyssey of the Seas

The cruise was great and we chose to do private tour guides for the excursions which turned out to be a great choice. We also choice a private driver to and from the port which worked out well. The key package was worth it as was the drink package.

The cruise was fabulous and everything was perfect! The ship was big but didn't seem to be overly crowded because of all of the activity and dining options. The ports were welcoming and beautiful! Overall, a 5 star experience.

Lived the ship, cruise, staff, food. It was excellent except for the kids outdoor areas not being opened like the sky rail zip & ropes course.
