Wonderful European cruise by JjScG0zATPh590787ax9Xr7WJ

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Celebrity Silhouette / Destination: Europe - Western Mediterranean

We have taken over 25 cruises and this was the best one yet.  The ports were great and the excursions we took let us see as much of the country that we could. The ship was great and the food was good.  No complaints at all. 11 day cruise for these many ports was just right with 3 days at sea.  Spending 2 days in Amsterdam and 2 days in Rome completed the trip.  I would recommend this cruise to everyone.

Highly recommend by kmwebber

Ship: Celebrity Silhouette / Destination: Europe - Western Mediterranean

The Silhouette is a beautiful ship and the crew was extremely helpful and friendly. I would cruise on this ship or any Celebrity ships again. However, I would only purchase a ticket which included the drink package because it is extremely expensive and 18% is added for gratuity. The shore excursions are also on the pricey side and we didn't find that they were good value. Our trip into Lisbon was $60 and the tour guide gave no information as we drove around on the bus. When asked questions, he didn't know the answer. Such as, what is the population? He said 1,000. He was replaced half way through. There were two formal nights which are not for us

Cruise Mediterrian by jlvanfarowe

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Norwegian Epic / Destination: Europe - Western Mediterranean

The ship was very nice and clean. The mini suite was excellent. We had a high floor forward. We had a few stops before Barcelona which were great. It was busy but not overcrowded. After Barcelona the ship was well over capacity. Elevators were always packed and hard to move around the ship even though how large it was. In fact there were no chairs to be found anywhere on the pool decks. We asked about the number that came on at Barcelona and were told that 3500 new people came on and they had over 5300 on board including a lot of children. This was just too many people and ended up being to much for all of the crew as well. I doubt we would take this again if Norwegian is going to sell the ship.

We had an incredible time & though we are seasoned travelers, our travel agent Kimberly was super helpful!  The food on Holand America Lines is always superior & was especially thankful to get meals at the specialty restaurants through Kimberly Big Smile

My exprience by ksheibani

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Nieuw Amsterdam / Destination: Europe - Mediterranean

We had a pleasant trip and a great experience with the  with Holland-America. Both my wife and I travel frequently (minimum of two cruises/year). This was the first time we traveled wit Holland-America and we both enjoyed the experience very much. We were very impressed with professional attitude and appearance of staff members and found the environment very friendly.

We both like to take this opportunity to express our appreciation of the job performed by Mr. Bagus Wahono, the gentleman responsible for our dinner table. We found him very professional, friendly and competent and would like to recommend him highly with the administration.

Great Cruise by nicholasrodites

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Vision of the Seas / Destination: Europe - Mediterranean

We boarded the Vision of the Seas in Barcelona, Spain. The ship is small enough so that the boarding, Meals, and disembarking processes are very easy. The food was good and the staff were very helpful. My only issue was that the excursions were listed as strenuous and people with walkers and wheel chairs still signed up which slowed us all down and we missed Pisa.

It was ok not great by Globetrotter776

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Celebrity Reflection / Destination: Europe - Mediterranean

This cruise was a tremendous disappointment because Celebrity decided two days before the cruise to cancel our visit to Istanbul.  I booked the cruise specifically because it had Istanbul in the itinerary so that was incredibly frustrating.  To spend thousands of dollars on a trip like this and then be told at the last minute you are not going to get to go where you paid to go is very frustrating.

The ship is very clean and in good condition.  Dont bother with the excursions - they are a total ripoff and you will do far better in most places if you book on your own.  I was stunned at how they would charge us 3 or 4 times what we would pay on a private excursion and then take you to the place you signed up to go and give you only 45 minutes or 1 hour there.  I guess this is so they can get you back to the ship so you can spend more money on alcohol and in the casino.  Overall - it was not a great experience with Celebrity.  I dont know that I will sail with them again.

It's party time by Richardrodrigu

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Celebrity Reflection / Destination: Europe - Mediterranean

the ship was clean and very tres chic,  food was sub-par, drink service extremely slow due to understaffing in the common dinning areas.  Cafe Bistro was an awesome hangout and there is a lot of sitting areas throughout the ship which we throughly enjoyed.  Awesome live music and eneteraintment that made one get into a party mood every night   Excursions where way too pricey and we did everything on our own for half the price. Spa and gym area are top notch one of the best I've seen.   Room attendants were nice and were top notch as well.  First time on celebrity and this is our fifth time cruising if you don't mind cafeteria like food this was an awesome ship for fun and great ports.

Last Cruise with Costa by allenjhayesjr

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Costa Deliziosa / Destination: Europe - Eastern Mediterranean

First, I usually give good ratings, even when the service is not so good, however, this ship was a total disaster.  The ship felt like it was overbooked, people pushing in lines and the food was terrible.  We ate most of our meals in the formal dinning area since the buffet type food were terrible.  We have been on a lot of cruises and I must say, this one was the worst.

Ratings:  Food (-1 star), Ship (3 stars), Ports (4 stars), Staff (2 stars), Room service (5 stars)

Overall, giving this ship 2 stars is being nice.  Do you homework and review the ship you are sailing on.  We had to pay for everything extra, even the water to drink.  Also don't take a ship where you have to pay your final bill in Euros.  You will get a heart attack.

Overall a great cruise by lebrowning

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Rhapsody of the Seas / Destination: Europe - Mediterranean

The ship, staff, food, etc... were fantastic!  I will definitely cruise with Royal Caribbean again.  Although RC was awesome, I'm not sure I would recommend traveling to Greece right now.  This has nothing to do with RC, but with the country itself.

Not my best experience by missflosser

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Norwegian Epic / Destination: Europe - Western Mediterranean

I was totally speechless when the captains wife/girlfriend won the diamond ring at the jewelry store. It was fixed from the start and he even came with her. Of course he did not look surprised.  Food was good. At customer service crew was not well informed. I received conflicting information, incorrect information, and put in the wrong lines which was frustrating.

Very Good Itinerary in a Very Big Ship by juliovillafane

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Allure of the Seas / Destination: Europe - Western Mediterranean

The itinerary and excursions were so good (5 ports) that you don't have enough time to enjoy the ship.  This is a very large ship with lot's of areas to explore. Very efficient and friendly staff.

Nice ports of call, okay cruise experience by allsmilz

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Rhapsody of the Seas / Destination: Europe - Mediterranean

This is a smaller cruise ship so don't expect the usual experience that comes with being on one of the larger ships.  Overall, the staff was great - very friendly and courteous at all times.

The drawback for this cruise was the entertainment and food.  For the most part, there was limited entertainment after dinner.  Instead of having multiple events at the same time so that one could choose based upon interest, we found ourselves going to one show after the other just to keep our selves occupied.  Not that we were interested in what we were seeing but needed something to occupy our time.

The food was okay.  Breakfast was basically the same options every day.  Lunch wasn't bad.  The BBQ was the best food offered for the entire cruise.  At dining, the wait staff was exceptional.  They kept us more entertained where we almost did not want to leave.  Dining food was not the best.  I ate at a specialty restaurant the last day and regret not trying the other restaurants on other nights.

Overall, the ports of call make up for the drawbacks from the ship.

Awesome ship! So many options and activities to enjoy. by leebaker66hotmailcom

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Allure of the Seas / Destination: Europe - Western Mediterranean

Allure of the Seas is one BIG and Beautiful ship! I really like the Itinerary. There is only one day at sea which means more ports. My sister and I were busy the whole time with all the activities to do. The Comedy Club 1st night, water show 2nd night, Mamma Mia the 3rd.... Booking in advance is recommended.

Very Old Ship by Travelnoire

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Rhapsody of the Seas / Destination: Europe - Mediterranean

Rhapsody of the Seas is very old and the entertainment and food options were extremely lack luster. This was my first experience with Royal Caribbean and I have heard amazing things about them but I was very disappointed. I traveled with a group of 15 and 12 others have been on Royal Caribbean before and they said this was the worst ship, food, and shows they have experienced.

First time on Norwegian by cyndi547

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Norwegian Jade / Destination: Europe - Eastern Mediterranean

We were excited to take our first Norwegian Cruise out of Venice after cruising on Princess, Carnival and Royal Caribbean. The staff on the ship were great...we had lost luggage issues and the staff took right over and track our bags. The offered us complimentary laundry services too. The bags arrived in our second port of call.

Our biggest negative on the cruise was the feeling we were being nickel and dime'd. Room service was an upcharge of $7.95 and they brought a tiny carafe of coffee (enough for two cups)., We did it once and never ordered again. Also, the food in the main dining rooms was average at best. We believe the reason for this was to force you to go to specialty dining (another upcharge).

I would rather pay more for a cruise than to be charged for everything once on board!
