Awesome vacation with many good memories. by beckym29596007

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Seven Seas Mariner

The cruise was wonderful. I would recommend the excursions plan more free time for lunch and a little shopping. It seemed like we were always rushed.

It fell short of my expectations! by tonyh08

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Norwegian Jade

Overall we chose this cruise because it made 6 different port of calls and no sea days. The food and entertainment were ok, nothing really wowed us. Staff and cruise director did there best with what they had. I give it a 6 out of 10.

Bucket List Trip - worth every penny by shardy1004

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Oosterdam

We prefer smaller ships, easier to navigate and better service. It's a nice ship, best for middle-aged crowds that it caters too but overall a nice ship. Food was very good, breakfast was okay but we've had much better on other lines. Service was excellent, very nice people work on Holland and Carnival. Lines hiring from Indonesian, Philippines and similar usually have better service. The ports were beautiful, you're better of booking private group tours through Viator and TripAdvisor versus the ship, they price gouge massively through Holland when you can do pretty much every excursion for 50% less, especially if you're mobile and comfortable navigating on your own or renting cars. Car rentals work great in Rhodes and Argostoli. You definitely want a guided tour in Israel, security and immigration is very serious there so be aware of more time to disembark.

This cruise is a must do! All of the ports we visited were amazing. So much history in this part of the world. The ship was great, the people were great. Couldn't have asked for anything more!

Honeymoon Disappointment by ClWood

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Rhapsody of the Seas

For this cruise to be our honeymoon, we were extremely disappointed. We feel it was false advertising based on what we paid when we booked the cruise. We voiced our concerns to guest services while on board and were given no input or reasons as to why things were changed. We enjoyed the excursions and the service workers, but the food, people on board, and disembarkation were a nightmare. For what we paid for this trip, it was a waste of money and we would not recommend.

Great NCL Jade Cruise by neilred

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Norwegian Jade

Cruise was selected for the ports and location. All ports were great, although one port was cancelled due to "port congestion" which I find hard to believe when we arrived in Mykonos, we were there with 4 other large cruise ships. Room was good, food was good, free booze was great. Ship showing it's age, but fit for our needs. Get the free upgraded dining and pay for a couple of extra nights as well. We did 3 nights at Cagney's and one at Tepenyaki, well worth the extra, as we did not really enjoy the main dining room that much.

First time cruiser, reluctant to cruise again although never again with RC by sailingsun

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Explorer of the Seas

Reluctant to cruise again and if I ever do it will not be through RC. Port times were not always the greatest, internet was trash inside the rooms, ship dampening could be improved for better sleep comfort, and it is not necessarily the fault of RC but the customers that RC attracts can be rude and unruly and underaged guests are not necessarily supervised or reprimanded for disturbing the peace. Overall, the experience on the ship was generally not relaxing - at worse it was upsetting and stressful, at best relieving and only because we had a private balcony to retreat to.

Great service, good ports, crowded ship. by phantom3

Overall good but Explorer is too big for me, too many people 3300. I like the Rhapsody better.

Well done Azamara! by bill221

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Azamara Onward

Azamara was first rate for food, entertainment and smooth operations. There were no complications and their effort shows. The 10-day Greece-intensive trip was full of sights with only one day at see.

Nice trip to islands by waveboogie

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Norwegian Jade

This was a good cruise overall. Could do without so much drinking for people to get their money's worth with all you can drink included. They need to improve their food taste especially where they purchase their beef from. Many large groups had loud people but the entertainment was excellent. Getting cards the day before was a joke as they didn't want to know if you had excursions from travel agents. Staff was incompetent in this respect.

Great Cruise even with unexpected detours by Lynellesh

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Explorer of the Seas

We liked most of the ports, and it was nice to relax by the pool. We would have liked more entertainment and more options to do thing in the evening (other than going to a bar and drinking, now that is fun but gets a little boring after a few nights). Royal Caribbean last minute changed our embarkation port, so that was a bit of a fiasco. We ended up checking in at Venice port and then they bused us to Trieste port (2 hour bus ride). The act of leaving the boat was fine. However, Royal Caribbean left us stranded at the port of Ravenna. The town of Ravenna is so small and not set up to transport masses of people from a cruise ship. This town had severe storms and major flooding, the train station was completely shut down and this town only has about 20-30 taxies. We got off thinking we would go to the translation and grab our train. We finally got to the station and found out it was closed. As you can image we were livid that Royal would leave us stranded. (there were also about 150 + others from the cruise stranded there too. I finally got a taxi back to the port and tried to talk to someone from Royal, and they didn't care at all. They just said sorry and for us to go back to the station and hope for the best. Not sure we will cruise with them again.
