disappointing by GeorgieI

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Voyager of the Seas / Destination: Europe - Eastern Mediterranean

We were disappointed. The ship is "tired". The carpets in the passageways could be changed - perhaps should be changed. It needs an overhaul. The pool area is too crowded. Having cruised with Royal Caribbean before, we felt that the standard of food had dropped. Never was the dinner hot enough though the staff were charming.

great cruise and cruiseline by BethW2

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Norwegian Jade / Destination: Europe - Eastern Mediterranean

We loved this cruise despite some of the cons mentioned in this review. the entertainment was worth seeing. The food was not excellent, but it was still delicious. Desserts were their weakest on this cruise, but we still managed to gain lots of weight. The choices included two main dining rooms and a 24 hour cafe. Buffets were adequate, but not enough seating for all the guests. We just went to the buffet on our early departures for excursions. NCL does seem to charge for everything, but the greek isles were beautiful, the ship was smooth and sleek, and the staff worked hard to make it a wonderful experience.

Perfect itinerary by SteveS4

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Voyager of the Seas / Destination: Europe - Eastern Mediterranean

The Voyager of the Seas is a perfect size with an exceptional staff. The cabin and dining room service is wonderful. We did a cruise from Venice in the Adriatic and found the itinerary to be perfect. Time in ports was great. We loved our balcony. It was great to get room service and have breakfast on the balcony. Unfortunately, the dining room menu was pretty uninspiring and the food was just OK. The Indian food was terri fic but the deserts were not. There were a lot of vegetarian oprions and these were usually the way to go. The ice show was really great, but the other shows were more like a high school production and so not worth the time. There is a lot of great deck space for wandering and watching the world go by. Overall, this was a great cruise.

Decent cruise by GopiN

We have been on Costa, the food was better on Costa. I do not like the fact that I have to pay extra for food, i.e your specialty restaurants bad concept.

Adriatic Adventure by BarbaraD4

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Voyager of the Seas / Destination: Europe - Eastern Mediterranean

Ship was comfortable and cruise was smooth and timely. There are some areas of wear showing . Forward bow rust. Stateroom carpet worn and patched, etc. It is not an overwhelming problem. The friendliness and helpfulness of staff made up for any problems.

Royal Caribbean ships are awesome by JudyV

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Voyager of the Seas / Destination: Europe - Eastern Mediterranean

FIrst time on Voyager, but we had been on Mariner before, so no surprises. It was the same layout and quality. The food was wonderful and the dining staff superb. It was exactly the same quality we have always had with Royal Caribbean.

SPLENDOR OF THE SEAS - GREECE CRUISE by PhilipV

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Splendour of the Seas / Destination: Europe - Eastern Mediterranean

THE SHIP WAS GREAT. THE CHECK IN WAS GREAT. THE STAFF WAS GREAT. THE ENTERTAINMENT AND SHOWS ON BOARD WERE GREAT. THE FOOD WAS GREAT. HOWEVER.... WERE WERE PUT IN STATEROOM NUMBER 8006. THIS ROOM IS DIRECTLY UNDER THE WINDJAMMER RESTUARANT. EVERY MORNING AROUND 6:30 THIS ROLLING OF CARTS STARTED OVER OUR ROOM. WE DEALT WITH IT BECAUSE WE WANTED TO GET UP EARLY FOR THE EXCURSIONS. AT NIGHT, THIS ROLLIING OF CARTS CONTINUED WHILE WE WERE TRYING TO GET SOME SLEEP. WE HAD OUR 9 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER WITH US, SO WE WERE NOT STAYING UP TOO LATE AT NIGHT . ABOUT THE 5TH NIGHT IN, IT WAS STILL GOING ON, SO AROUND 11:00 O'CLOCK WE CALLED DOWN TO COMPLAIN. SOMEONE CAME TO THE ROOM AND HEARD THE NOISE. HE SAID HE WOULD DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT, BUT IT CONTINUED FOR ANOTHER COUPLE HOURS. CLEARLY UNCHARACTERISTIC OF ROYAL CARRIBEAN TO SAY SOMETHING AND NOT CARRY IT OUT. ** THIS ROOM IS DEFINATELY NOT WORTH THE MONEY WE PAID ** MAYBE THEY SHOULD HAVE THE CAPTAIN STAY IN THIS ROOM.

Great Cruise by GregO

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Norwegian Jade / Destination: Europe - Eastern Mediterranean

We each have cruised several times both together and separately. This clearly rated in the top quartile. The Norwegian Jade (Venice- Greek Isles-Ephesus and return) is very much a family ship. There were many teens aboard (all well behaved and pleasant) as well as a good number of smaller children. Did not present us with a problem. The pool area daily was a virtual zoo. Almost the entire time pools were open, there was loud music, either live or recorded. We did not find that relaxing, so we did not use the pool complex. The best decision we made was taking a stateroom with a balcony. That was so pleasant, and the balconies were sufficiently large that we both could sit comfortably there and enjoy the relax. Service everywhere aboard was impeccable

HORRIBLE! NEVER AGAIN!!! by MariaV2

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: MSC Musica / Destination: Europe - Eastern Mediterranean

The layout was bad. The restaurants & pools were too small and the lounges were too many. The staff was horribly clueless about everything & anything. Also, way too many cabins for the pool & restaurant size.
