A beautiful cruise by 262

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Norwegian Spirit / Destination: Cruise to Nowhere

Very nice atmosphere. The staff was courteous and attentive to our needs. This was my 4th curise but, 1st cruise on NCL and my first one day cruise to no where. It was beautiful. I booked this cruise as a birthday celebration for my husband and would do it again.

A nice quick getaway by raobcare

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Norwegian Breakaway / Destination: Cruise to Nowhere

Fulfilled our desire for a quick getaway. In addition had enough novelty to keep us entertained. The ice bar was unique but cold>could use more options on the drinks .e.g. flavored vodka would have been nice and the supplied hooded ponchos smelled sweaty. Still worth trying though, if only to say you did it. I look forward to cruising the same ship during the warmer season to take advantage of the outside amenities. The Norwegian phone app was very helpful.

My First and Not My Last Cruise. by SherryB6

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Carnival Victory / Destination: Cruise to Nowhere

I was impressed about so many entertaining things that were offered on the ship and the different places to have fun. Sometimes, it really did not feel like I was on a ship.

2 day cruise to nowhere - good budget! by JulieJ86717559

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Victory / Destination: Cruise to Nowhere

It was a very large ship with lots of places to buy drinks. But, only two main swimming areas and limited food outside the dining hours. I spent $60 on drinks for 2 people in the first 6 hours! I wish there were more shops and activities that I wanted to do. There was a lot of stuff that was not for my age group (21 to 35).

"Cruise to Nowhere" by MaryS3

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Victory / Destination: Cruise to Nowhere

During the night, there was a "glitch" and our cards didn't work. I had to go to the Purser's Desk to get us re-instated but I had to show my credit card again. I couldn't give them my credit card because it was locked in the safe in our room which we could not open because the cards didn't work! I was shopping for gifts when this problem came up and the shops do not take cash. That is perfectly ridiculous! However, the Purser's Desk took my cash to re-instate my card. Upon returning to the shop to make my purchases, the cashier sold my items to someone else and there were no more to be had. I bought nothing.

A nice cruise. by jwisse1

This was my first cruise. It was not what I was expecting. Overall cleanliness was good. Food was good. Seemed to be a lot of non functioning equipment on vessel. Crew couldn't answer questions that we thought were simple enough.

Fun and Relaxing Cruise on the NCL Spiri by EstherA

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Norwegian Spirit / Destination: Cruise to Nowhere

Smaller than the Dawn. Indoor buffet area and store felt crowded and noisy even though ship was not full. However, the ship is very pretty, especially the lounge and observatory area.

It was a perfect cruise! by RobinA4

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Carnival Miracle / Destination: Cruise to Nowhere

I had a wonderful experience on the Miracles Cruise to Nowhere. I have cruised before; I took a friend on her first cruise. She loved it and was calling family members telling them that they all had to take another cruise before we were docked. There is a great variety to keep everyone of all ages entertained, the ship was very clean and your staff went out of their way to assist us in all areas. The food was very good and plentiful. Looking forward to another cruise next year.

Great Cruise But... by AshleyB3

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Carnival Elation / Destination: Cruise to Nowhere

It was a wonderful cruise! We weren't allowed to go to Mexico which was hard because we sat there all day looking at it but Catalina Island was wonderful! We went on the kayaking excursion and enjoyed it very much. We saw a few seals and stingrays! The water was a bit cold but we got used to it. As for the pool on the boat I never got in. I thought it was too cold but others were enjoying it. The food and the service was excellent and always and the Camp Carnival was great. I wasn't very happy with the "Circle C" activities. The director shut it down early every night. The first night it was to be opened until 1am and she shut it down at 12:25. The last night on the boat it was supposed to be open until 12:30 and she closed it at 11:25! It was absolutely crazy! She also never did the activities on the schedule except the unsupervised scavenger hunts which I thought was probably to get them off of her hands! Also, there was no Teen Spa Day which we are used to and like to do. There was no past guest reception either. Other than the few downs it was a great cruise! Although we did go around in circles for days at an average of 6 knots it was great! Not very bumpy or rocky at all!

Been on Other Cruises - But NCL are a Great Deal by viscopj

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Norwegian Jewel / Destination: Cruise to Nowhere

We have sailed on several different cruise lines over many years and most recently sailed on NCL for the last three cruises - We have already planned another one on the Breakaway. We have sailed on three overnight cruises from NYC, to the Bahamas for 6 days from NYC and will be sailing from NY to Bermuda on NCL's newest Ship The Breakaway. NCL cruises are a very good deal economically - reasonable food - better food in the pay more restaurants (which we do) Fun entertainment pretty good staterooms. But sailing from NY makes it possible to take more cruises. It is pretty easy to stick in a quick getaway the is more fun and less expensive than a dinner show and hotel in NY.Its just a No-Brainer. If you haven't sailed from NY - its a breeze - eliminates all air related and air-transfer issues like where the heck in my luggage, etc. Not perfect but overall a great deal for fun. Only negative - not enough on board interactive fun games.

Great time.... but disappointed by MariaF12

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Norwegian Dawn / Destination: Cruise to Nowhere

Had a great time! My granddaughters loved the kids room. The staff were friendly and helpful. I just have a couple of comment s- we pay upfront the cost of the ship and to have people pay a surcharge to certain restaurants is dissappointing. You go there to enjoy yourself and want to feel free to go anywhere in the ship without having to pay any other monies out of pocket. Even the pictures are expensive! Most of them get thrown away why not sell them for $5 to $10 a piece so that we buy more?

Sailing from New York is a breeze! by MaryT12

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Norwegian Spirit / Destination: Cruise to Nowhere

Sailing from New York was such a great way to start our cruise. We got on board early and our vacation began instantly! The service was excellent...every staff member was always friendly, helpful, and smiling. Cruising is such a pampering experience---and it fits all types of people...you can do as much or as little as YOU want. The SPIRIT has something for all ages. We`ll be back again!
