Overall, it was a great cruise but not without its minor problems by dfp1953

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Carnival Dream

Cruise was fine, food quality was poor, and Bacon was a rare (every other day and distributed) commodity which I was surprised it was a controlled item.

Perfect cruise, if your looking for a beautiful beaches! by lanayiah

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Carnival Sunrise

This is a perfect cruise if you are looking for lots of beach time. The beaches are absolutely stunning. The ship itself is the perfect size, not too small and not too big. I felt you could get to different places on the ship easily. The ship had lots of fun activities and a plethora of food choices. Loved the cleanliness of the ship.

I'm looking forward to cruising with Royal Caribbean in the future by Kalz1228

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Icon of the Seas

This was my first RC cruise and it did not disappoint. From the overall cleanliness of the ship to the finest details of service. RC aims to please. I was disappointed with the itinerary change, but it was done for our safety, and that was greatly appreciated.

First & Last Cruise by mbpharoh

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Venezia

Overall, we had a great time because of the people who we are with. But be prepared for a whole bunch of add ons, drink package limitations and crappy service. The time at the port is very limited due to shuttles and chaotic embarkation process. This will be my first and last cruise.

First time cruising! by godro999

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Carnival Venezia

Great first cruise, the service on the boat was the star. Employees are very helpful. The food at the buffet was good but at the free sitting restaurant, much better. It was diversified. Amber cove stop was ok but we had to go taxi to the nearest public beach to have more fun. Grand turk and half moon were made for the ship so it was great. For a first cruise, it was a good learning Experience to choose more appropriatly the next Time. Excellent family oriented boat!

Nice Cruise for the money by jvh528

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Carnival Venezia

All in all in was just a good cruise not a great one, the HUB which is the center for everything did not work all the time because it dropped Wi-Fi constantly, the added gratuities added 18% to everything, and I mean everything. They nickel and dime you to death, exp; $5.00 to use chat and most of the time it did not work. Why not just add all these charges to the cost of the cruise and most people would have a more enjoyable cruise.

Pros and cons by nanneteach

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Venezia

We kept to ourselves and had a great time. The clientele was somewhat disappointing because some people are just rude, slovenly, and don’t watch their kids. An employee told me that prime occupancy is 4000 and there were 4953 passengers. That’s a 20% increase that caused lines EVERYWHERE and an increased burden on staff and passengers.

So many lines by nestelljess

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Carnival Venezia

The boat was way too crowded to fully enjoy it. We spent most the time standing on lines. The nightclub also wasn’t a night club it was just a room.

Not for Seasoned Cruisers by crna76

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Venezia

My husband & I are seasoned cruisers. This was our first with Carnival and found ourselves comparing the ship & its services to other cruiselines. We strongly recommend: 1) redesigning the food buffet line, arranging items by group, resulting in shorter lines and 2) assigning someone to oversee what is missing, needing refill, noting what's out of order, etc.

Too much waiting in lines by crisruff

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Carnival Vista

There are many positives to this cruise. The staff was friendly and helpful. The food and drinks were good, lots of options. Beds and pillows are comfortable. We loved all 3 ports we visited, although I wished we had a little more time at each. We enjoyed all the shows we attended. As a negative, the embarking and disembarking was not great. Very long lines and tightly crammed in small spaces with other people at times. Elevator lines were so long we walked up the stairs to get to our rooms which was 6 decks up. This is a party cruise, if you are looking for relaxation, this probably isn’t the cruise for you.

The Havana Experience on Carnival Celebration by dtyson07

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Carnival Celebration

This was the first cruise we did with friends and their spouses. We had too much fun with each other and enjoying all that the Celebration ship had to offer from the shows to the comedians. The food choices were excellent and the staff worked with us to ensure we ate dinner each night with one another. We plan to make this a annual trip with Carnival.

A must do for everyone!!!!.... Soooooo much fun. Cruise Director Leon was a blast by slimntrim5

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Carnival Celebration

its important to follow all the before instructions that you'll be getting from the cruise line. Talk to someone who has done a cruise before. go on you tube and look at your particular cruise. There are tons of videos. all the ports are very safe. Please while on the ship, don't be offended of people bumping, stepping, or crowded areas like the elevators food lines or kids playing or any part of the ship. If you don't like these things, stay home. Don't ruin other people's vacation!!!!. The ship is crowded 6652 plus people on board.
