Ok Canaries Cruise by Johnray111

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Thomson Dream / Destination: Canaries

Ship needs updating or putting to sleep but staff and crew were excellent, can be wobbly as it is a smaller ship but overall for a bargain cruise it was ok, we were glad to have a comparison with a more upmarket cruise line but I think we will stick to the larger cruise liners to experience a bit of luxury

Ship: TUI Discovery 2 / Destination: Canaries

First time on a Tui cruise and it won't be our last, fantastic food, great range of drinks ( the £50 upgrade was well worth it too) lovely clean well kept ship. The staff were different class ten out of ten for them. The entertainment made our holiday...they were brilliant

Just ok by gorlin

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Ventura / Destination: Canaries

This was our first cruise and not sure if we’d go again. If we did it wouldn’t be with P&O. They overcharged us on our bill when we got back and the ship was a bit too big , too hard to find our way around

Canary Island Trip by Rosyth

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Black Watch / Destination: Canaries

The average age was 78 on this cruise. In case of an emergency, a large percentage of passengers would not be able to access the lifeboats as they were unable to use the stairs. The lifts were in constant use, The staff on the ship were lovely. Hard working and friendly. The food was excellent. But since my last cruise, it felt like a hard sell wherever you went. From the spa to the coffee shop. Disappointingly, it was not possible to get a decent cappuccino for breakfast anywhere. The library/cafe sells cappuccino but the staff were unable to make decent ones. They cost £2.50. In this day and age, it would have been easy to install a cappuccino machine for passenger use. This was the most disappointing part of the cruise.

First cruise for us was a great experience and would definitely go again. Weather, trips, food and staff all amazing. Room/balcony really good always clean. Balcony a plus you can sit and watch as you arrive/leave ports.

Felt like a Pensioner’s Cruise! by seadogrob

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Ventura / Destination: Canaries

This cruise was clearly targeted at older and disabled people. We spent quite a bit of time on our own balcony when not in port as there was not much of interest to do in sea days. Evening entertainment was excellent though.

Fantastic Easter Break by shellandchris

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Thomson Majesty / Destination: Canaries

We loved this cruise my 5 year old daughter wanted to join in all the kids club activities, all the girls who organised the kids club were great especially Clementine. The food on the ship was fantastic and plentiful, we also had a drinks package that was well worth what we paid.  All the staff were great the couple that stood out were Olga, Anna who served drinks.  The destinations were great especially Madeira, we went on a tobogan 2 km down the street really good fun my daughter loved it.  I would recommend this ship and will be traveling again with thomson cruises.  Don't want to be negative but rooms need updating but this in no way affect my enjoyment.

Outstanding....best Port visits to date; Barcelona, Cartagena, Cagliari, Palermo, Naples/Capri, Rome, Florence/Pisa & Majorca by Chapmandad17

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Norwegian Epic / Destination: Canaries

A romantic trip and the opportunity to get a full taste of Europe. Take your time and soak everything in. Majorca & Barcelona are not to be missed. Spend a few days before cruising in Barcelona (Gothic District) walking around. Highly suggest the Hop-On/Hop-Off buses and late evening walks to the courtyards for dinner & wine. Don't miss an excursion to Montserrat (sp).

Amazing by janiceashin

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Thomson Majesty / Destination: Canaries

We had an amazing holiday on board Thomson Majesty, it was our first cruise and it exceeded our expectations.

The ship is an older ship but immaculately clean, the food was really nice and so much choice you will never be hungry.

The staff are what makes it a fantastic holiday, they are happy, polite attentive, they can not do enough for you.

The entertainment team are just brilliant, the shows are fantastic.

The cruise director and assistant cruise director were really good and the whole team were just amazing.

They keep you entertained all day with quiz's and game shows and so on.

I would definitely recommend the Majesty.

Happy

Another excellent cruise by skip4587

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Oceana / Destination: Canaries

The visits and tours were well chosen. the food and entertainment excellent.

It is a pity about some of the moners below  One said the trip was for the elderly and there were a lot of old people on.  What age is that person who daily is getting older.

Another complained about the cold and told Reception. lets be right it is March.  Get a cardigan.

enjoyable and relaxing by camillamcmahon

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Thomson Majesty / Destination: Canaries

This was our first cruise and we really enjoyed it apart from the one bad night at sea due to adverse weather at sea and then not getting to Agadir as a result the next day. Having read the reviews before we went I was a bit worried, but we found the food excellent, the cleanliness was second to none and all the staff were very helpful and friendly, entertainment was top class and very professional. We were upgraded to an inside plus cabin which was a nice surprise. If I had any complaint it would be that there was not really enough time to really explore the places we went to properly.

I would definitely recommend this to anybody and we will certainly be booking a cruise again.Love

Bed bugs onboard by Chezy70

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Iona

Cruise liner Iona just too busy and everything booked up via the app therefore no chance to book most things. Restaurants very chaotic. Bed bugs just topped it off!
