Not as good as previous visits by sailingthe7seas

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Ventura / Destination: Canaries

Apart from p&o taking little items away ie sweets from roon etc. And filling fridges with unwanted drinks. It could also have had some money spent on upgrading rooms. Ie decor etc. Still looking a bit tired and just after a refit!!!!!

Nothing special but P&O have good standards overall and are good value for money, unless like me you are a solo traveller

Wonderful Atlantic cruise by Dixsdolphins

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Ventura / Destination: Canaries

Fantastic service but was a shame they ran out of Carling on day 8! Also drink prices are quite high, £19 for a bottle wine which is £6 in the shops and £3.95 for a can of Carling which was €0.99 in the shop in Madeira!! They no longer put your bill on your tv screen in your room, you have to queue up at reception to get a print out, of the printer is working!!!! Food was lovely & plenty of it. Cabin staff were fantastic. All the ports we visited were great, with open top bus tours right at the port entrance, which was great. Disembarkation was quick and early!

Really enjoyable Cruise around the Canaries by VMS787

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Thomson Dream / Destination: Canaries

This was our first cruise and didn’t know what to expect. I had read reviews and was very apprehensive. However these fears were dispelled at embarkation and throughout the cruise. Excellent experience which we will do again. There are plenty of opportunities at each port to do your own thing with Taxis and Bus tours.

First time cruise on Marella Dream to the Canaries by longshanks56

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Thomson Dream / Destination: Canaries

Thomson were faultless in their execution of the cruise. All went well, the ship was fine, staff great, ports of call really good. For me it could get a little busy at meal times.

Lovely cruise by janton

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Oriana / Destination: Canaries

We enjoyed the cruise overall, despite suffering some seasickness due to the rough weather. In hindsight, March was probably not the best time to travel on a Canaries cruise and we would prefer to travel to the Mediterranean if we ever did another cruise.

Despite the odds, a wonderful cruise! by Endymion69

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Boudicca / Destination: Canaries

A wonderful cruise with good weather when it mattered, on a comfortable ship with great crew, fantastic food and interesting companions, around the Canaries, Maderia and Gibraltar. Can life get any better?

Excellent Colourful Coast Cruise by hazelhiggins

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Thomson Dream / Destination: Canaries

We were very apprehensive about going on a cruise again because we found our first cruise to be overcrowded and our fellow cruisers to be very rude. We did not experience this on this cruise however except that we couldn’t get a seat sometimes at the evening entertainment. We were therefore pleasantly surprised that we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves on this cruise.

Canary Islands Cruise by transamike

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Norwegian Spirit / Destination: Canaries

Very enjoyable cruise on an older, but well maintained ship. Everything in our suite was operational. The Spirit is a little faster than most ships (24 knot maximum), so cruising at 20+ knots on long passages was quiet and vibration free in 10512. The ship was clean and we did not notice any unpleasant odors.

January spirit by Millys36

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Norwegian Spirit / Destination: Canaries

Overall we would return on.the spirit, maybe for a shorter cruise and to places we really want to visit. We did learn we prefer larger ships with more going on.

All in all a nice break and good value overall despite the weather. It was January! Some disappointments, but more positives than negatives.

Fabulous Trip by MarinerKate

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Norwegian Spirit / Destination: Canaries

Had an amazing cruise on the beautiful Spirit. The Windows Dining Room is the jewel in the crown. It's absolutely stunning and one day somewhere in the Atlantic I was sitting next to the window at lunch and I saw 2 dolphins! I went to all the shows and found the entertainment of a very high standard. The food was delicious and hot. The steward kept our room immaculate and we were there over Christmas and New Year and they did special events for both which were really sweet. There was virtually no queue at embarkation. Can highly recommend the Norwegian Spirit.

Fantastic Cruise to the Canaries aboard Oriana by libbysmum61

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Oriana / Destination: Canaries

This cruise was to celebrate my 60th Birthday. Apart from the first two days which were a little bit rough, we really enjoyed the cruise. We had some wonderful table companions for dinner and as a whole, all the passengers were a delight to be on board with.

Enjoyable cruise on Ventura by jeo

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Ventura / Destination: Canaries

The biggest let down was the food very repetitive in main restaurants & very disappointing in Waterfront buffet service , getting a table was a big problem most of the time. The smokers congregated around the food tables around pool area. Excellent service & staff , great entertainment but not enough seats in all the venues we ended up standing some of the time. . Lots to do in the day & enjoyed all the lectures etc . Metropolis bar really relaxing and quieter but still had entertainment
