This was our first cruise and didn’t know what to expect. I had read reviews and was very apprehensive. However these fears were dispelled at embarkation and throughout the cruise. Excellent experience which we will do again. There are plenty of opportunities at each port to do your own thing with Taxis and Bus tours.

Very smooth with minimal delay from Airport transfer to Cruise Terminal. Extremely pleasant staff welcomed us throughout the embarkation procedures which were smooth and speedy.

We dined throughout in the Lido restaurant as we enjoy the choice of food and seating arrangements where it is easy to mix with other passengers.
The range of drinks was extensive and available throughout the ship. Drinks were included in all inclusive but a supplement is required on the more expensive drinks, we enjoy Bacardi, Malt Whisky and high end Brandies and found that by upgrading to the Premier level we were able to enjoy these drinks at no extra cost which also includes higher end Coffee.

Wow!! Always greeted with a smile and hello. What exceptional service across the board and throughout. Our room steward was available and attended to any request we made and always greeted us asking if all was ok.
The bar stewards was extremely attentive without being overbearing. Dining room staff were always friendly and always eager to ensure we had what we wanted, to the staff that cleared the tables always had time to talk and ensure were satisfied with our service.
Ship Quality

Every area of the ship was clean and in good condition. Bearing in mind that she is old and of a smaller deign, there are areas which show its age but this was to be expected and did not deter in any way our experience. All areas were clean and many occasions staff could be seen cleaning and polishing.
Cabin / Stateroom

We had an Outside Plus Cabin amidships with sea view. We were surprised at the large size and Hotel style layout. The bed was quite big and very comfortable, I am 6ft 6in and slep soundly. The decor was pleasing to the eye. Adjustable air conditioning was great for comfort. Cleanliness was the priority being cleaned twice a day. In the evening the bed was turned down and reading lights turned on as a welcome to our nights sleep.
Ship tip
A fantastic friendly and homely ship, so relaxing. Ignore the minor negatives,
We had a sightseeing tour of Las Palmas on a open top Bus from the Port entrance. Unfortunately the multi lingual facility on the bus didn’t work but with the flyer issued with the ticket we could follow the sights. A contrasting place of old and new.

We did the ‘ Taste of Madeira and Cable Car (Funchal) excursion and also the not to be missed Toboggan ride. This excursion included visits to Gardens and wine taste and visit a lace making shop. A n excellent 4 hour trip, well organised.
We took an excursion from the port entrance around the North of the island, visiting the desert sand are a free time in Corralego, a very relaxing small town.
