Beautiful Alaskan Cruise by FunAfter50

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Norwegian Bliss

Overall, this was a great cruise experience. This is our second Alaskan voyage and if we decided to go again, this would be our go to ship and venue.

Disappointed and Upset by debbieweaver89

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Norwegian Bliss

I have been on over 30 cruises in my life. This is the first time I’ve ever used Norwegian and ever use them again. It was the worst I have ever been on. I think it is wrong after the rating. It should’ve had 1.0

Set Sail Captain! by jdholy

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Ovation of the Seas

Alaskan adventure. The train ride in Skagway is a must do. We saw more whales aboard the cruise ship than on excursion. Would have liked to see some bears.

Great Alaskan cruise by cp010297

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Quantum of the Seas

Overall, I think the whole cruise was pretty good. It was a few places that I didn't like but overall I think it was a good cruise. Would I visit again yes but I think I do use a different cruise line maybe ovation maybe he's got more stuff to do on board, but I thought it was over all good Cruise.

THE best way to see Alaska at its finest by DawningDave

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Nieuw Amsterdam

There SO MUCH to see and do at each of the Alaska ports of call - Ketchikan, Juneau and Skagway, this won't be our last cruise ! Holland put together an excellent cruise and likely does Alaska like no other (reportedly being The First cruise line in Alaska). There wasn't any hint of being owned by Carnival. We met several repeat Holland cruisers and look forward to our next.

Beautiful Alaska, OK cruise by SandInMyShoes

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Majestic Princess

The itinerary was great except the Endicott Arm and Dawes Glacier were fogged in so we didn't get to visit them. The ship decor is surprisingly outdated for a ship as young as it is. The service was mostly really good but it is hard to get drinks around the pools or in the Hollywood Club area and the buffet (which only has one small drink station on each side and few waiters coming around to offer drinks). The food in the MDR is bland at best and not memorable at all. Carnival actually has better cruise food than Princess in the dining rooms. Staterooms are comfortable with large showers and very comfy beds, pillows, and duvets. The staff is cheerful and welcoming. The Medallions are a great feature but the phone app definitely needs work. The theater does offer listening devices for those who are hard of hearing but you have to talk to someone in the sound booth to get them which is not an easy task. There is no other staff to make the request of and the guest services staff doesn't have a clue about them.

Great Alaska Cruise by keisha997

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Norwegian Bliss

Not having anything to compare with, I was really happy with my first cruise experience. It was a great way to see Alaska and wish we could spend more time at the ports during the time around 10am - 6pm.

Beautiful ship but not for kids by KarenK8

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Celebrity Edge

It was a lovely cruise but I would stick to another cruise line when traveling with active kids. Also, their loyalty program is not equal to Royal Caribbean which is part of the same company

Beautiful by KristinKern

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group

Beautiful sights and amazing weather. Cruise was very different than previous experiences with the casualness of the lido deck and dining room. Food was not impressive in the dining room.

Alaska By Ship by Cruiser64104088

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Brilliance of the Seas

I had now expectations with this cruise. The scenery was breathtaking. Actually got to see to glaciers. Did have whale sightings, do not expect to see whales jumping out of the water. Train ride in Skagway was wonderful and educational. Nothing like waking up early in the morning and looking out your balcony and see snow covered mountains right in front of you. I must have seen over 100 Eagles. So majestic.

Very enjoyable Alaska Cruise by Chris3281

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Noordam

We picked this cruise since it had a day of cruising in Glacier Bay National Park, with park rangers on board. That was definitely the highlight of the cruise, but visits to ports of Ketchikan, Juneau and Skagway were also great.
