Belize City, Belize

Port was decent, we tendered at this port and the adventure began getting off the ship. We did the Beach and City Tour. The harbor waters were very choppy which led to difficulty getting on and off anything in the water. Took over an hour from the time we got off the ship to get to where we were going to start the excursion. I think this is a new tour company and once they get their act together will be very nice. People were very nice, the process of starting the tour was slow and painful. Once we got on our boat we went to the beach and relaxed and had a wonderful meal (which we paid for) I don’t want to trash this company because i think they will be fine, but just as a caution.

Costa Maya (Mahahual), Mexico

Port was clean and vendors friendly. We took the tour to the ruins and 7 color lagoon tour and it was excellent. Go in a small group if you can much better experience than the bus load in my opinion.

Coxen Hole, Roatan, Bay Islands, Honduras

Nice port, beautiful scenery. We did the land and sea island tour. Very nice boat ride through the mangroves, watched people learning to swim with dolphin. Visited a chocolate making factory and learned about the different chocolates. Our guide was very nice and informative. I would recommend this tour.

Cozumel, Mexico

Like any of these destinations you run the gauntlet of vendors vying for your business. We did the Tequila tasting and had a blast. Our tour guide Isla was a treat! This woman was worth the price of the excursion alone. Very knowledgeable about the history of the island and just overall a good person. All of the stops were nicely planned and just a overall good time.

Serenade of the Seas

If you like the smaller ships of Royal Carribean you will like this ship. It is clean and well maintained with a very nice staff.

Belize City, Belize

Did the beach and city tour. First thing I want to say, I think Splash Tours is a new company. I think they were overwhelmed with trying too many things at one time. Very unorganized, we were told to be on one of the first tenders off the ship which would lead you to believe the tour is ready to go. Ready to wait was more like it. There were about 30 of us that were on 4 different tours taken to the same staging area where we waited for about an hour and a half. I don’t want to trash this company I believe once they get their act together they will be fine. But if you are a seasoned cruiser and are used to organized tour companies they are not for you. The guides, the workers are all very friendly and they try hard.

Castries, St. Lucia

This was out 3rd time to St Lucia, beautiful island the Pitons are always a site to behold. Our island tour took us to the waterfalls and sulfur pits. We did not indulge in the mud bath!

Philipsburg, St. Maarten

St Maarten was beautiful, we did the ATV tour which took us on the streets of the island on both sides. My only disappointment was i did not get to experience planes landing during our stop at Maho beach.

Grandeur of the Seas

Grandeur of the Seas is a older smaller ship which we like, but there are not a ton of activities for kids and this ship seems to cater to older slower adults. Patience with scooters and walkers is a must on this ship. Take a couple of books and relax during sea days.
