Port was great, easy to get around. There was always someone to guide/help if needed.

We drove. We live 20 miles away. I just kept messing up with GPS directions and taking wrong turns but we found the pier.

Other than the Queen Mary or the Aquarium there is nothing to do near the port of Long Beach. If you stay in a hotel near the port, plan to pay a ton to eat. Not much is open on the weekend so you get stuck eating at the hotel for 5x’s what it would cost elsewhere.

We just drove in there so no excursions, but it was easy to navigate.

We came to LA a couple days early to sightsee. We went out the night before in Long Beach which was a lot of fun.
