I grew up in Tx so Galveston is close to my heart! Of course the beach isn’t beautiful and Carribean blue but it did in a pinch. Haunted tours, horse and buggy rides, fabulous food and souvenir shops, and the Rainforest Pyramid and Aquarium along with the rides at Pleasure Pier are some of Galveston’s main attractions. Enjoy!

It was our first cruise so we had our drive drop us off anywhere at terminal. Very chaotic since it was 11am. Finally found the porters and tried to give him a gratuity. He wouldn't accept it. Had to ask a few times where to go and finally made it into terminal. Got in a very long line for a little bit until carnival employee saw our FTTF luggage tags on our back packs. She directed us to a line that was empty. Documents checked, passports scanned and we had our blue SS cards. Security snagged me for having a bottled water. Sent to our zone to wait for boarding. Waited here for about an hour due to ship arriving late. Met a ton of neat people. Finally called our zone and bam we are on board. Found our cabin dumped backpacks and explored.

I'm a truck driver, so I've been a lot of places. This was the first time my wife has Waffle House. Lol. She loved it. The beach was nice, boarding was easy. We got in the day before, so it was very relaxed for us to get on the ship

I love Galveston. There is so much to do and see nearby. Sure the water isn't crystal clear like it is in Cozumel, but the beaches are pretty cool. Can't wait to go back.

Speedy check in. Great balcony room! Crew was very friendly. Casino has a few smoke free machines. Free drinks, 15 a day! After you reach 500 pts. About $500 fyi
