Q: Has anyone used the telehealth service “OnPoint” for the testing requirements? Are they valid for Carnival? Carnival’s website lists 2 that are a lot more expensive but it just says we could “consider” those 2 and gives information about what a telehealth document must contain. TIA

A: I have not but w/ limited info on site I'd be leery. I may be providing a little outdated info, but when they expanded to include OTC test w/ proctored service, the provider was supposed to have an affiliation w/ the test manufacturer. It does look l... ike they have a test which would work but I wouldn't trust the bring your own service.See More

A: Until someone confirms they have used and had no issues, check out iHealth & Azova for other proctored services which have been reported to work w/ no issues. We received both the flowvex and iHealth tests from the government for free.

A: You can purchase from ships app once onboard on most ships. No need to go to guest services

A: Just tell them it’s too expensive. Teens need to hear the word no every now and then. You are already taking them on a cruise!

A: I would purchase one package ahead of time to save some money and time in line on board. I agree with most, that the kids will get into life onboard instead of living vicariously online. :)

A: We've never purchased the wifi package because the so-so quality of the package does not justify the cost in our opinion. The other upside is that there is plenty of things to do on board ship and doing without wifi for a week promoted family time am... ongst us and our four kids.See More

A: Grand hotel Galvez on the seawall is supposed to be haunted. Have a great time!

A: Hotel Galvez has some spirits that remain but I don’t remember how or what happened to the spirits that remain. A google search might shed some light!

A: The Tremont on the Strand is an older hotel and there are those that say it's haunted. I've stayed there several times, it's a nice place. I didn't see or hear any ghosts, but I didn't want to!! 😳 You might Google it!

A: Island breeze shuttle. They are awesome. We had a flight delay and the driver waited for us. Excellent

A: I would recommend Galveston Express (https://galvestonexpress.com/). I used them for my recent cruise from Galveston, they are super friendly and it was easy to book them through their website. The driver I had going to Galveston, actually lived in... town and gave us a bunch of tips on places to eat and things to do while we were in town for a few days before our cruise. I paid $35 each way using them, and I though that was a really fair price given the distance between airport and Galveston. Both ways I was in shuttles that were clean and had plenty of room for myself and the other people in the shuttle.See More

A: I’ve been in quite a few cruises solo and go on excursions. I typically make friends with others in the same excursion (same ship) and enjoy myself! Try at least one. You’ll notice that everyone is very friendly. I still keep in contact with people I... ’ve met on cruises/excursions.See More

A: on my last cruise, my travel partner got sick, so I did an excursion by myself in Cozumel. I went on the Everybody Loves Ray's (and Sharks), which was fantastic. The others on the tour were friendly, and I never felt alone. My friend was fine - some... 24 hour virus or something.See More
