We've never purchased the wifi package because the so-so quality of the package does not justify the cost in our opinion. The other upside is that there is plenty of things to do on board ship and doing without wifi for a week promoted family time amongst us and our four kids.

check the price before you go. frequently, things are more expensive when you get on the ship.

I would purchase one package ahead of time to save some money and time in line on board. I agree with most, that the kids will get into life onboard instead of living vicariously online. :)

Yes you can get it the day you leave. I often prepay items like drink packages, internet etc the day before the cruise to get the maximum time from the statement closing date on our credit card.l ;) I personally wouldn’t buy three packages, I would let them share.

We didn’t purchase the WiFi package, and have three girls. Plenty to do on board, plus vacation is about disconnecting from the outside world.

If you are concerned with spending so much at one time, you can pay for it with Klarna. But yes it can be purchase on the ship, but I will be more expensive.

As others have said, try purchasing beforehand, even if it's only a couple days beforehand. Prices shoot up on board. I bought premium on my first cruise it worked 90% of the time albeit a little slow (for middle of the Gulf that was expected). Probably going one down this time.

You can purchase the package on that day but it will be little more expensive if you were to buy it prior to.
