I only have 1 other port to compare it to, but we have always thought the process was easy at Port Canaveral. We always get Faster to the Fun, but this was this first time we didn't have to wait to board. We went straight from the shuttle to the ship.

Port Canaveral is convenient from Orlando airport, and Cocoa Beach is a nice area to spend one or more days before or after your cruise. The cruise port is easy to navigate and not crowded.

We drove in the night before and stayed at the Country Inn. Lots of restaurants to choose from, as well as activities. We drove to the terminal and parked on sight the morning of embarkation.

Jetty Park is right near the terminal and is a family friendly beautiful beach. Eat at Grills on the other side of the terminal for yummy local fresh seafood. They make excellent mojitos.
