Review summary

We had a great time. However, there are some things that were not so amazing because the ship is the oldest and smallest of the NCL fleet. For example, there was a lot more smoking than one would want, there were not a lot of different areas at night for varying types of entertainment, the engine was loud and shaky and palpable from the Windows Dining Room, and overall there were just not that many different spaces. On the flip side, because it was an older ship, while it did not have the new amenities like water slides or a ropes course (like the Breakaway and other newer ships, it did have a very nice promenade, and a fantastic lounge called Galaxy of the Stars. This is a great place to catch a game show or even just lounge during the day while looking out on the ocean!

Pretty good, but not a lot of options for music at night.

Service and Staff

3 out of 5
Most of the staff was AMAZING!!! Gio, the cruise director was not so much though.

Ship Quality

3 out of 5

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
The room wasn't bad, but the bathroom just like the NCL Dawn ), was in strange little compartments. There was enough room for three of us though and plenty of storage space.

Ship tip

It is a small ship, so take advantage of every spot you can find. I love reading in the Galaxy of the Stars and just looking out the windows and at the bridge.

Thank you for posting your review.

Our experience with smaller, older ships is that the air exchange systems are about as old as the ship so smoking areas seem much worse than on the newer ships (regardless of their size).  Smoke has infiltrated fabrics for years and that odor doesn't go away so easily. We also think that because there is more space in larger ships, smoke has more room to dissipate into... plus smoking is more restricted nowadays and that is a big help for non-smokers and those with medical conditions who cannot be exposed to smoke.
