A: We used Avis, and they did have a key drop for after hours returns. We kept rental car overnight, though, then used it to go to breakfast. Then we took our bags to drop off at Port before we turned our car in. We took Avis shuttle to port without hav... ing to wrestle luggage. After hours you wouldn't get use of the free shuttle. A: We were just at Pt Canaveral and it went very quickly!
Answered by cbenavidez on October 27, 2023
A: Pt. Canaveral uses facial recognition at passport control, which makes going through the passport line after disembarking from the ship back in pt. Canaveral is swift & efficient. I have been on 3 cruises from that port since they started using facia... l recognition at passport control, which is how I know that it is way faster than the old way, which was that you would have to wait in line for hours before a CBP officer would have to check your passport before you could leave the cruise terminal & I even have 3 more cruises from Port Canaveral; one for next week & 2 for next yearSee More

A: 528, which begins right outside the entrance to the port, turn right. Take 528 all the way to I-4 (about 60 miles). Take the West I-4 off ramp, and watch the signs. WDW attractions are all on the right, past Universal. 528 is a toll road.

A: Find out if others are going in same direction! Cruise shuttles go to airport! $38 i read. Maybe get to airport rent a car? Or Uber/Lift to Disney? We rented car in Cocoa! Called them they picked us up got car and headed to Orlando!!
Answered by Suzie68 on September 4, 2023
A: Uber/Lyft or a shuttle service (like Mears) if not planning on having a rental car. Most major car rental companies have offices in Cocoa Beach and offer a free shuttle to their location from the port.

We would love to be able to do some of the free Disney stuff, get some pool time in and eat something amazing! How do we do this? Rent a car? From where and return where? Where do we stay that’s close enough to the port? Thanks so much for your help!

A: Rent a car at MCO and return at the Cruise Port. Alamo or Enterprises 710 Mullet Road, Cape Canaveral. so you dont have to worry about getting a shuttle. and drop off the big luggage with a porter at the terminal before returning the car.

A: I think “no” is pretty cut and dry. You could certainly arrange transportation to Orlando. But Universal is at least an hour away. I personally wouldn’t make the trip unless you can extend your vacation at least overnight. The park is expensive and t... o try to just go a few hours wouldn’t be worth it.See More

A: Only if Port Canaveral is a Port of Call during your sailing not if it’s the embarkation and disembarkation port. If you’re cruising on Royal and it’s a port of call you can go on the Royal App and book under excursions. It’s $32.99 pp right now.

A: What are you needing? I might can bring for you if you remind me.
Answered by iamwendywheeler on March 6, 2023
A: I can give you a very vague answer. on a Carnival ship some do and some don't. Sometimes you wonder if it's even cooler in the room itself and sometime it's almost chilled down to a desired temperature. they never seem to be truly "refrigerator co... ld". if it's all boxed in keep the cabinet door open and try to have as much air circulation around the unitSee More
Answered by jallaway on February 22, 2023
A: leave the door open so the air can circulate. Gets colder than not
Answered by pappyandnanna on February 22, 2023
A: In addition to the airflow solutions, put an ice bucket or ziplock of ice in there when you first put your items in, this will add to efficiency and speed up the process of helping the refrigerator work.
Answered by ElizabethOregon on February 26, 2023
A: is there a mini fridge on most cruise liners, NCL???
Answered by PAYB on February 25, 2023
A: If it's for medicine or to store baby formula don't count on a steady temp from the old mini bar coolers. Better to request a table top medical refrigerator through the special needs dept.
Answered by maryred on February 25, 2023
A: They work when the ship is moving. So far I haven't had any problems.

A: Whenever we have a flight home we will book a one night stay at a hotel. That way, we don't have to worry about issues, and we don't have the stress.
Answered by batdawn2000 on February 21, 2023
A: I have been told to never book a return flight before noon, regardless of the time the ship arrives back to Port.
Answered by APOPHIS1989 on February 21, 2023
A: you have the option of taking your luggage off yourself. But, if you set your luggage out for pick up, it will be ready to go within an hour usually. If you are flying out of Orlando International, you would be safe for an afternoon flight.
Answered by memphisblue1966 on February 21, 2023
A: If you walk off with your luggage you can leave as soon as the ship clears. I've found it best to book air & transfers through the cruise line as they usually have the best price and can guarantee your trip.
Answered by Hurder on February 22, 2023
A: The ship might arrive at 8a, but that's not always when they get government clearance to disembark. clearance can be right away (most of the time) or delayed (they longest we've personally experienced was 3 hours). Those carrying off all of their lug... gage start first, being called by deck number or muster station. Those that sent their luggage ahead will be called by their zone # as Customs clears each batch.See More
Answered by maryred on February 21, 2023
A: You might arrive at 8 but even if you walk off it might take an hour or more. The ship has to clear customs before anyone can disembark. Also, if you are going to Orlando airport give your self a lot of time. All the cruise ships drop passengers off... at the same time and the lines to check in are loooong.See More

A: they need to speak at least 12 languages and need to be able to lift 40 lbs to work in the Laundry while you enjoy your Cruise.
Answered by Frogboo95 on January 4, 2023
A: With a child, you just need a certified birth certificate. However, if you plan on cruising or traveling a lot with your child, I suggest getting a passport. Everyone really should have a passport, the best form of ID!

A: We went ahead and got our child’s US Passport. They’re easier to keep up with in my opinion than the birth certificate.
Answered by lawsjk on January 4, 2023
