I can give you a very vague answer. on a Carnival ship some do and some don't. Sometimes you wonder if it's even cooler in the room itself and sometime it's almost chilled down to a desired temperature. they never seem to be truly "refrigerator cold". if it's all boxed in keep the cabinet door open and try to have as much air circulation around the unit

leave the door open so the air can circulate. Gets colder than not

If it's for medicine or to store baby formula don't count on a steady temp from the old mini bar coolers. Better to request a table top medical refrigerator through the special needs dept.

It all depends on how old the ship is when it was last dry-docked for upgrades, and how old the refrigerator is. We have had some that were very cold and some that just made things cool

kinda!

We found that if you leave to cabinet door open a little it allows better airflow and the refrig will work much better. Never had s problem after doing this

Why is this question posted under a Port Of Call, rather than your chat for your ship?

Answered by CruiseQueenNH on February 23, 2023

not really. you can ask for a medical cooler if needed though

carnival cabin keeps insulin cold

Answered by carl1934 on February 23, 2023

They are intended to keep already-cold items cold. They may or may not chill something from room temperature in a reasonable amount of time.

Answered by ManInMotion on February 26, 2023

In addition to the airflow solutions, put an ice bucket or ziplock of ice in there when you first put your items in, this will add to efficiency and speed up the process of helping the refrigerator work.

They work when the ship is moving. So far I haven't had any problems.

is there a mini fridge on most cruise liners, NCL???

Answered by PAYB on February 25, 2023

Too many answers to read... I always ask my room attendant for a bucket of ice & I'll place it in there with the top off and it helps greatly!
