With a child, you just need a certified birth certificate. However, if you plan on cruising or traveling a lot with your child, I suggest getting a passport. Everyone really should have a passport, the best form of ID!

We went ahead and got our child’s US Passport. They’re easier to keep up with in my opinion than the birth certificate.

You just need their birth certificate. However if your last name is different than theirs you may need a bridging document to show you are indeed the parent.

i think all you need for a child is the offical birth certificate (the issued by the state with a seal) i would check with your cruise line or agent

Go to your booking and read the information and get the the information from them as they are the ones checking you in. When you complete your check in information you will have to complete the form that details the documents you will be using for each person.
