Regent put us in in a 5 star hotel in Manhattan, view from the 29th floor was amazing. Walked about 10k on the busy sidewalks of NYC. Loved the hustle & bustle & activities.

New York was actually a fun city to cruise out of because you could see the skyline, the river, the bridges, and the Statue of Liberty. I always thought it would be busy and take a long time to get on the ship but it was actually quick and painless. I did not get to spend any extra time in New York this trip but I will definitely cruise out of the city again.

What can I say it's NYC so much to see. Great place to sail from to see Canada New England. It is expensive for food and don't plan to drive parking is non-existent and really expensive. Use subbway or cabs "who knows maybe you will get the cash cab!" See Times square catch a show on Broadway see the 911 memorial Go up in the Empire State Building see Central Park and so much more. Looking forward to seeing All again someday. Cruise past the statue of Liberty is unbelievable as you sail away party is happening. Great times!

So much to see and do in NYC. A definite 2-3 pre or post cruise. We stayed at the Millennium Hilton in Lower Manhattan. Very clean and nice. 911 memorial is just across the street. Will come back some day.

Stayed at the Kimpton Ink48 hotel in Hell's Kitchen and it was an amazing property. The staff, well I can't say enough about their knowledge of the city, helpfulness, friendliness and overall wonderful experience. We did the TopView City Tour, which was great! Stumbled across a place called Fluffy's at 58th and 9th for a bite and the owner gave us suggestions, gave my niece a cookie and the food, well we went back and will be back on all our visits to NY. Pizza, Ultimate Burger, Cheesecake and Tiramisu were ALL out of this world! Had pizza as Two Boots and it was wonderful. Most folks were friendly and helpful and we had a great time!

Manhattan Cruise terminal is easy to get to, I drove from Connecticut and parked there for the 7 day cruise, cost about 300 USD. Bermuda cruise via the Breakaway, excellent food, Brazilian steak house was ok the meat was a little rare for me but salad bar was incredible and they will cook the meat longer by request. Cagneys Steak house was excellent the steak was cooked to perfection, the 7 layer chocolate cake was delectable. The buffet was excellent, wide selection of foods the waffles with fruit omg to die for. Kudos to these chefs what a menu. O'Sheehans chicken wings are a great late night snack, open 24/7, I got coffee at 4 am there, the coffee is good. Early risers that smoke you'll be very happy to find that there is a coffee station set up at the bar on the starboard deck just outside the cigar room. The staff at this little outdoor bar were the best! So attentive for a huge ship. The waiters and cleaning staff were the best. That was our favorite hang out on board. There was always something to do. My son loved the waterslides and ropes course. The camera for the ropes course was broken luckily he got it all on his go pro. We had a balcony 13846, Philipa was our steward he was the best! My bed was so lumpy and uncomfortable he got extra thick cushion and it was like sleeping on a cloud after that. Great guy always around when you need him. Loved the free onboard credits. Bought a Camera with them. We met some great new friends onboard. Bermuda was incredible. The Royal Navy dockyard is a vacation in itself. We went to snorkel park for half a day wifi is 5 dollars there for 24 hours. Drinks and food there rentals for chairs and umbrellas start at 5 dollars I think it's 10 for lounge chairs. We came later in the day so we got for very cheap. They have rental equipment ski jets to snorkel equipment. They rent diving equipment also. Loved Horseshoe bay rentals, food, alcohol there also. 7 dollars a person for a van ride there. There is a path you can walk to the next beach up I believe it's like a mile. More secluded also beautiful views. I'm going back next year on the Escape, the Breakaway is moving to Europe. Do this trip worth it.
