NCL's Miami terminal affords quick and easy departure. We arrived around noon and after about a 5-10 minute wait in line were directed to a departure agent who efficiently booked us in, gave us our Cuban required VISA ($135 each purchased in advance) and we then went to a boarding area and after about a 15 minute wait, our group was called and we went on board

No excursion here but stayed overnight at Hyatt House near the airport. Loved the airport shuttle and proximity to the Publix grocery store and a Delicious Cuban food restaurant.

The new terminal A, for Symphony of the Seas was really great and whilst I arrived early the flow of passengers was good and I didn’t wait in any long lines. I also appreciated receiving my sea pass in my room. Also when I returned back to the States, the new machines that just scans your face was very efficient and it was the best experience I’ve had entering or leaving Florida. However when driving into the port or getting the car rental shuttle or taxi was chaotic. There wasn’t a clear procedure in place. As a result there was a huge backlog of vehicles trying to drop off and pick up passengers. But I’m sure that will get better.

We stayed behind the airport and it was the perfect location. We weren't far from the mall, restaurants, airport or the cruise terminal. We took an Uber everywhere and it was cheaper and less hectic then the carnival shuttle to the port. The check in process was quick and easy we were in and out in under 20 minutes

We stayed in Miami by Southbeach, beautiful beach, wonderful night life, the town just lights up on the shore. The sand on the beach was not very fine, but the water was wonderful.
