We don’t have enough time for excursion but we will when we come back. I loved Miami. Very nice place to visit.

Miami is always one of the greatest ports to leave from. The beautiful views of South Beach as you sail right by is one if the best cites in cruising!

We flew into Fort Lauderdale, took a shuttle to our pre-cruise hotel in Miami. We stayed at the Doubletree Biscayne Bay. They offered a shuttle to the Miami Cruise Port for $7 per person. Post cruise we took a shuttle from the pier to Fort Lauderdale and stayed at the Courtyard on Fort Lauderdale Beach for one night. The beach is right across the street from the hotel. Both hotels offered a variety of dining options and activities.

This was a great port. When I went on carnival freedom in ft. Lauderdale it was terrible but in Miami it took a very little amount of time and there was a place to sit before boarding. Miami is very good port!

We stayed at the Intercontinental Hotel prior to embarkation, and it was amazing! The hotel is posh and within walking distance to the Bayside mall and restaurants.

Our flight leaves Miami at 7 PM. We took the shore excursion on hop on hop off tour. We did all 4 loops and stopped in South Beach and Little Havana. The tour company has several scheduled shuttles to send customers to the airport after the trip. The best part is that we dont need to worry about the luggage. It is well worth the dollar.

We spent 6 days in Miami before joining the cruise, north of South Beach. The trolley up and down Collins is free and frequent and a great way to get up and back—we didn’t rent a car and used the trolley and the regular bus ($2.25 per person per trip) exclusively. Great! Not much to recommend in the northern/mid-beach area we were in (55th-75th streets), mostly condo buildings. Found Norman’s Tavern around 68th—great local watering hole and the food was really good!

Word to the wise I would not suggest the Doubletree Miami convention center and hotel. Pool is green, hot tub dirty, room looked like it got a once over. Not what I expected from a Hilton.
