After "Maria" our itinerary was changed to go to Mexico, AGAIN. Oh well, there wasn't much else the company could do but, if you've been there before, there is (for me) no reason to get off the ship.

Very busy port but everything ran smoothly, at least for Carnival Conquest. Embarkation took less than 30 minutes. Debarkation equally as efficient. Off the ship (self assist luggage), Lyft/Uber to the airport, slow checkin/baggage drop but still ended up sitting at the gate by 8:30.

With plenty of time between getting off the ship and our flight home, we took a tour of the area. Very interesting tour with a great tour guide.

park-n-ride half the price - great service five minutes away - if you have a carry permit and carry - you cannot enter the port and they do ask

Took Uber to Sawgrass Mills mall. Spent 8 hours there and still didn't see it all. Huge mall with great shopping, great restaurants, movie theater.

Going home we had to wait at the airport all day which seemed designed to "encourage" you to drop some tourist dollars in Florida - but no excursions of interest and I didn't feel like renting a car and "figuring it out" myself

The port was fine. We did not do any excursions. All excursions that we booked foe the previous itinerary had to be cancelled.
