Review summary

Big ships are fun but I'm ready to get back to smaller ones! If you are planning a vacation with family, of different generations, the big ships might be the right one for your family.

Embarkation

Been on RCCL large ships 3x's now. The ships have lots of venues, great for families and younger people. For the "older" group there may be too many venues, with lots of people at them. Some of the crowd were quite rude and seemed to be in a hurry. Again, not really pleasant, at least for me. The ship is clean and well maintained, balcony rooms are a nice size and decorated well. I love the diving and ice skating shows, make reservations!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
The specialty restaurants are now way too pricey, and not that much better, if at all, than the dining rooms. The only reason I see going to one is that it is more intimate. Food good, not excellent, but this seems to be getting to be the norm on all ships. I will say out of the seven nights we may have had one exceptional meal.

After "Maria" our itinerary was changed to go to Mexico, AGAIN. Oh well, there wasn't much else the company could do but, if you've been there before, there is (for me) no reason to get off the ship.
