Our time was scheduled for 4 hours in port but due to a delay we only had about 3 hours. Enough time to grab a cab into the city and walk around. Found our favorite Canadian chocolate bars and stocked. Wish they had a good bakery open for authentic Nanaimo Bars (available at the local grocery stores but not downtown). Not enough time to visit the gardens as it got dark shortly after we arrived.

Wish it was Vancouver and not Victoria. There wasn't a lot to do as fas excursions, mostly garden tours, and whale watching. Garden tours don't interest my family and since we saw whales off the side of the ship, we opted not to do that. Instead, we walked around the downtown area and took pictures and did some shopping. We ended up walking, which was an easy 15 minute walk because the shuttle would have been $62 round trip for 4 people. That was ridiculous to me and is the main reason I gave it 3 stars. Every other port, it was $5 round trip. It is easily walkable and I would encourage you to do that instead of the shuttle.
