Review summary

Embarkation and muster drill were terrible. The ship was beautiful, but many venues were closed or packed. Not enough elevators. Staff was great. Food quality excellent with ample variety. Entertainment was top notch.

Embarkation

1 out of 5
Boarding began at 7pm. 2+hours to get on board.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Large groups reserved specialty dining at dinners. Very loud which ruined dining experience. Food quality excellent. Breakfast in main dining rooms very good.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
Did not do go carts or laser tag because of upcharge. Pool area was okay, but crowded on sea days. Fitness area is well equipped with machines.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Best part of cruise. Jersey Boys was excellent. Enjoyed Beatles cover band, but the Cavern Club is small. Suzanne Jade in the Observation Lounge was excellent every evening.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Room steward was tremendous. All ship personnel worked hard and were friendly.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
All common areas were clean and maintained. The atrium area was loud and crowded.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Mini suite was only slightly bigger than balcony, but bathroom amenities worth the cost. Room was always kept clean and serviced twice daily.

Ship tip

Reserve shows and restaurants. Be ready to stand in lines.

Ports of call

Vancouver (Canada Place), British Columbia

San Francisco, California

We had to go through customs here. Only walked to pier 39 and had lunch.

Disembarkation

Carried our luggage off and process was quick.

Muster drills are never fun, but mandatory. As for the two hours, I can understand this. They have thousands of passengers to check in, they'd be hard pressed to get everyone don in under an hour. Even if the person did an online check in, not everyone does that. Glad you liked the shows, I'm making my reservations this month for them!
