We cruised on Saturday so we arrived in Seattle on Thursday and had all day Friday to sight-see. We lined up a 6-hour tour in advance of our trip. We went everywhere, it seemed. Stops at the Space Needle and Pike Place Market were the highlight. It was great and I would go back to Seattle for more.

Seattle is a disgusting dirty filthy city that has no police presence, and has homeless, drug addicts, and mentally ill individual roaming the downtown streets everywhere. We saw many homeless drug addicts just urinating in the streets and alleys. It's unsafe, dark, way too expensive, and we hated everything about it. We did not feel welcome there. I will always look for cruises that do not port there. It was disgusting and unsafe.

Getting to ship was a nightmare. You better leave extra time because it can take hours to get through traffic to get to ship

Go a day or two early, or stay a day or two after the cruise to explore Seattle, especially the Pike Street Market area and the space needle.

Ship is docked 10-15 minutes north of downtown. Seattle is what you make of it, lots to see but also a very big and potentially dangerous city (having lived there years before).

Make it a point to visit the Boeing factory. So impressive! The Chihuly glass garden near the Space Needle was also a good visit.

We were very tired after traveling but it would be worth coming back and see the city.

Pike's market, a trip to the Space Needle, and a Starbuck's coffee. What else do you need?
