We were in Seattle for 4 days before we cruised and the only bad I can say is the police do not know how to direct traffic after a sporting event. I live in Detroit and with there has been times when there were 2 sporting events and a concert going on and the traffic was NEVER as bad as it was at the preseason football game. Yes, I know the Lions suck, but seriously three events going on and we fly out of downtown. Anyways, we rented a car and stayed in Bellevue. Bellevue was such a nice area. We walked to dinner or lunch every day. In Seattle we did all the tourist things, Space Needle, Freemont troll, Pike's Market, all the museums, Ferris wheel, and a cruise in Puget Sound. I would suggest buying the City Pass, it saved a lot of money.

We had a blast in Seattle! We did a couple of days prior to sailing. We took an Uber to our Airbnb and then to the terminal. Other than those two times, we walked everywhere else. We had such a good time, I'd go back just to do Seattle as a destination vacation.

We arrived two days early so we could take in some of the sites. We enjoyed the Chihuly Garden and Museum, as well as Pike's Market. I bought flowers at Pike's Market and had them arranged in a vase to take on the cruise for our room. The flowers were beautiful and lasted the whole cruise!

I had booked hotels before and after the cruise. The weather was perfect, actually 80 and sunny before the cruise, so I really have to give it 5 stars.

Seattle is an experience (busy...and be prepared for hill walking with comfy shoes!) and unfortunately we didn't have time to explore the areas outside the centre of town (which is a tip a seller in pikes market told us...that we had to get out of town, that downtown area is for eating and selling only, it's not the true seattle). Downtown was not for us though.

If you do pre or post cruise sight seeing in Seattle, buy the City Pass. Get attractions (5) at nearly half the cost. Take in the Underground too if you like history.

Went on the Spiegel’s underground tour. It was really interesting with all the underground tunnels and history. Went to Space Needle and it was really crowded up top with a bunch of rude people pushing around to take pictures with their own pose.
