First time to Seattle and so glad we spent a day before and two days after the cruise to explore & enjoy this city! We did a lot of walking but got to see a lot... Space Needle, Museum of Pop Culture, waterfront, Seattle Mariners game, Pike Market.

Very cool, the Public Market in Seattle was amazing, eating there is a must!!! It was very easy to take the Link Light Rail to get to downtown and a very short walk to interesting places. Only 6 bucks for an all day pass for the Rail.

Stayed at The Edgewater Hotel right next to our port. Walked downtown and had a great time at the market place. Food, bars and hotel were great! Getting to the Bliss Saturday was just a few steps away. Would have loved to stay longer and see more of Seattle.

Loved Seattle. Space Needle and Pike Place Market were great. We did a “Bites and Booze” tour and it was so much fun.

Seattle was colder than Akaska both the day we boarded and the day we got back. It was typical Seattle...dreary, windy and cold. We came in late the night before we left on the cruise and stayed at the Hampton Inn Seattle Northgate. It was very nice but a bit far from the port. Lesson learned. When we got back we stayed at Cedarbrook Lodge which is very close to the airport. It is a lovely place! There are 3 lodge buildings that have central livingrooms on the second floor that has snacks and ice cream for guests to enjoy. There is a complementary shuttle to the lite rail and airport. Breakfast is also complementary. We arrived to Cedarbrook at 9:30 a.m. and were immediately checked in. Our room ( 2 queens) was quite large and very comfortable. After organizing our mounds of luggage, we went on the lite rail to Pikes Market and explored, ate and watched them throw fish. We took an Uber to the Museum of Pop Culture. It was interesting. After a bit more exploration, we returned to Cedarbrook for a delicious dinner at Copper Leaf. I highly recommend Cedarbrook Lodge for stays in Seattle.

Hop on hop off bus tour - I took the Seattle bus tour yesterday, and enjoyed it more than I expected to. I knew in advance that the commentary was recorded, so I wasn’t disappointed. The driver popped up from time to time to give us more specific & current info. I also learned, from other reviewers, that hopping back on could be an issue. I suspect there’s really only one bus running at this time. However, the driver helped to coordinate our plans, and provided his phone number. I didn’t have any trouble getting back on the bus. My plan was to do one full loop, and then decide where I wanted to hop off. I ended up looping several times, and enjoyed each one. I got off to do the harbor tour at Pier 55, and then again at Westlake Station to ride the monorail back to Seattle Center/Space Needle. I recommend sitting on top off the bus, in the very back. Hold onto your hat, though. I almost lost mine at one point. 😎

There’s many wonderful things to do in Seattle if you arrive a few days early, as we did.

No excursions, we were there prior to embarking for a few days. If we could move to Seattle tomorrow, I would. I loved everything about the city.

We went on a boat tour of the lake and the loch. We did a lot on our own too. It was nice to have time to see Pike place, the space needle and the monorail.
