We didn't take the tours since we have lived in Southern California in the past. We took a public bus to Old Town, which is quite interesting with fun shops and restaurants.

We didnt make it past Sea Port Village. We were able to get the fresh sea air, see the boats in the harbor, have a nice cup of coffee, purchase all the trinkets we wanted and stretch our legs. Really had a great time there.

Was able to do alot in San Diego but I didn't walk alot the sea port. Since it was my first time taking a shuttle my group and I took the wrong tour which made us have to walk 6 blocks back to the ship. But overall, we were able to walk and take in the scenic views.

Port is pretty far from anything other than the shopping center, so excursions are the way to go. Shuttles to shopping were nice.

We live in San Diego so this day we did not get off the ship. Thi9s gave us a great chance to swim and lounge by the pool.

The Amtrak drops you 2 blocks from the ship. If you do not want to walk with your luggage you can get a peddle cab for a few bucks.
