It was fun but too structured for us.

Review summary

The constant up sell was disappointing. The whole cruise was way too structured and commerical for us, we enjoy excursions "off the beaten path" and were not able to do that with the time alotted in each port. We received our cruise packet too late to book our excursions in advance and the ones we wanted to take were already full once we got on the ship - that was disappointing.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
The food was delicious but, they dont have a midnight buffet anymore.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
The entertainment was fantastic.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
The crew/staff were always very friendly and helpful and made us feel like VIP's.

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
The ship and our room were very clean.

Cabin / Stateroom

1 out of 5
The room size was VERY small, probably standard for a cruise ship but even with the 2 of us in our room we were stepping on eachother.

Ports of call

Catalina Island, California

Just enjoyed the small town/city atmosphere. Loved that there are hardly any cars.

Ensenada, Mexico

Didnt feel safe in Ensenada. I think that the Bufadora tour is not worth the price in dollars or time. Unless you have a lot of shopping to do, you can find everything downtown without the 60 minute drive each way.

San Diego, California

We didnt make it past Sea Port Village. We were able to get the fresh sea air, see the boats in the harbor, have a nice cup of coffee, purchase all the trinkets we wanted and stretch our legs. Really had a great time there.

Pros: We enjoyed receiving out daily Compass each night to review the next days activities, the food was great, the entertainment was good.

Cons: The constant "up sell" was disappointing - everything and I mean everything has a price; soda's, pictures, shuttles into (and out of) town, constant tipping.
